Once had a 4 day lan party, originally the plan was to mix up rounds of unreal Tournament, DoW, Swat 4, Battlefield Vientam/1942.

However, after a few hours Swat 4 got turned on and that was that for three and a half days (roughly 85hours). Continuous deathmatch and VIP games over and over 3v3. It eventually got to the point where one player from each team had to sit out each round to sleep.

Pee breaks were taken without pausing, leading to some of the fastest pissing I have ever heard.

Spent 12 hours playing Chrono Trigger. I started the game from the beginning and at the 12 hour mark when i needed to rest...I was already on the final chapter, "the defining moment" with character having best gear and lvl 70 across the board...boy was that a fun 12 hours.

where do you all find the time? I can barely fit in a couple hours and you're all doing double digits?

I want your jobs.
Bank Holidays man!

Being in high school helps a bit.
Or being a hopeless outcast unemployed gamer.

Six hours on Metroid Prime. But how do you manage to play one game for over 20 hours?
Lots of caffeine and drugs.

I played 10 min. of Paper Mario, and went to my back yard for a second, and saw that my brother is covered in sand. I ask were the sand came from and found out that he had gone to the beach with his freind and had been gone for 5 hours. I really thought I had been playing for ten minutes, when I had really been playing for 5 hours! All I did was go from the Mansion with the goasts to town! Also, Paper Mario 1 and 2 were much better the Super Paper Mario. Only because it was not extremly boring to walk around, it told you were to go in a simple way in pretty short talk/read segments, and I like turn based combat/RPG games. A lot. I rented Lost Odessey knowing only that it was a TBC game.

Other then that, 20 hours max.

my two best would be when I beat mass effect in one sitting, or when I beat portal's main storyline 3 times in one sitting, along with beating all the advanced maps and chalenges. both happened during the summer last year. I was between jobs, and had alot of time to kill. I played so much that I didnt eat the entire time. I only stopped to use the bathroom and get a soda. Oh, and beating homeworld 2 in one sitting.

I don't know, but taking account to my 5-o'clock shadow and slightly burly-ER mustache, I'd have to say I've been playing Okami for the Wii for a while now.

Final Fantasy 12, I spent 15 hours straight playing it. I was just so hooked, missed a kinda of important lecture that day. Ah well I still passed.

Back when I was still into MMORPGs, I sat and played EverQuest for three days. I didn't eat, or sleep. I don't really remember going to the bathroom, but I probably did. Afterwards my dad got mad and told me to stop. He told me to stay up that day and go to bed at 10 to get my pattern close to normal. I was in a strange condition that day. I blamed my step-sister for terrible things. I even accused her of "EverQuest" once. I remember the dialog...

"Who are you mad at?"
"[stepsister]."
"What did she do?"
"EverQuest."

I hate EverQuest and most MMORPGs now. Along with pretty much any other online game other than FPSes.

with a combination of caffine, lack of resposibility, lack of disruptions, adhd medication, internet access and shear willpower I managed to stay awake for at least 2 weeks straight one summer when I was 12 years old. People tell me that this is physically impossible but I remember it clearly with no side effects.
I stayed awake for three days straight once and started hallucinating. You might want to consider a career in the Armed Forces; sleep deprivation torture would be nothing to you.

Ye gawds. That is a lot of gaming for one sitting. I don't even know if I could get through 5 hours of gaming straight.

The longest I can think of was (sadly) Pokemon Red, on a roadtrip when I was in middle school. I probably played 3-4 hours straight. Even then, I had to stop and gaze mindlessly out the window at the passing cars for awhile.

If you count multiplayer games where you're not necessarily playing the entire time, it's probably around 10 hours. My friends and I played the first Halo until around 5 AM one night. I remember that night particularly, because it made me switch from Inverted Controls to Default... Mostly due to being stuck in a lengthy Capture The Flag game on the wrong control scheme. I'm still stuck that way.

This is utter rubbish. Unless you had some sort of illegal stimulant continuously administered IV then no you didn't.

The max someone has stayed awake is 11 days (prepared) and somehow I can't see a 12 year old doing that even with ADHD meds.

56 hours playing Yahtzee. XD but seriously, usually when I get a game I just play it and do nothing else except sleep in short spurts, barely eat and drink only when my eyes hurt I do this and nothing else until I either beat the game, get really stuck or get a another game. I am at my best gaming ability here, but don't have much fun, which, of course, defeats the purpose of playing a game. And these can't last weeks, the sleep being the only breaks, so much so that I think I have only been playing 3 days, but it's been 3 weeks, luckily I have nothing else to do... Yeah, LUCKY... T.T
