That Wii remake of the first Klonoa. I loved the second one, and I may finally get to play the first one.
HOLY SHIT! When the hell did they announce that!? That game was freaking awesome!
I've read about it on websites and Wikipedia.
Am I the only one who's thinking "chop til you drop"?
You were, but now I am.

ArmA2, I haven't played ArmA much, but the little I got to play was brilliant, nice to see some realistic FPSes out there.

Prototype, Intresting concept, seemed a bit like Assasins Creed in a modern enviroment + guns and strange powers.

Dawn of War 2, I'm not the greatest fan of the original, but the RPG-RTS concept, mixed with the CoH engine seems pirdy nice.

EVE Online: Apocrypha, There's nothing as yet another free expansion, exploration and modular ships seems neat :3

EVE Online: Yet-unnamed-winter-expansison, no idea what's going to be in it actually, but Walking in Stations is a pretty good bet.

I Am Alive, not much is known, but intresting concept, the fact that it's being developed by Ubisoft worries me slightly... But they have done a couple of good games in the psat (Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Silent Hunter etc)

There's probably more, but nothing I can come up with now..

These aren't all for 2009 (well I'm not sure if they are) but they are all anticipated highly by me:

Brutal Legend
Dante's Inferno
Imagination Is The Only Escape
Bioshock 2
Sadness
Madworld

Edit: Oh, oh and The Klonoa Remake on the Wii. Looks frigging brilliant!

Only RE5, possibly Starcraft 2 and BioShock 2, and maybe Fire Emblem. This year looks bleak.

Half-Life 2: Episode 3
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Assasin's Creed 2
Mass effect 2
Operation Flashpoint 2
StarCraft 2
Dawn of War 2

Wow thats allot of 2...
This, plus a few others I'll list later in the post. I don't know anything about the last three though.

Anyway, besides what's above, I have to say Alpha Protocol, F.E.A.R 2 (one month, yay!), LOTR: Conquest (demo's great fun), Singularity, Bioshock 2, I Am Alive, Prototyp. I know there's more, but that's all I can think of. I'll also probably only get a fraction of them :(

Thats gonna be an instant classic, but hardly anyone will play it. The true definition of an underappreciated gem.

Any list that doesn't have God of War III is woefully incomplete.
Irony...

GTA 4 was a dissapointment to most people expecting a title more along the lines of its predeseors, but I thought it was good, and those that didn't should have found a comfy home with Saints Row 2, like Yahtzee. And yes, Fable 2 and Mirrors Edge were dissapointments, but they had their few redeeming qualities, so I am happy to give the developers another chance.
