Usually, people take me for being older than I actually am.
Which may be due to me being very tall and having quite a deep voice.

When I am unshaven, I can pass for around 30. I'm 26 and a half.

When I'm clean shaven, I can pass for 16. At least until I speak.

My voice has been described as that of a chain smoking 40 year old :/

I have a rather "feminine" face, and when I was younger, I would be mistaken for a girl all the time. It makes me seem younger than I really am.

At 15 I could often pass for 18. This was useful for watching movies that required me to be that age (as long as no one asked for ID). I also got hit on by women in their mid-20s when I was 17 and 18 taking on holiday part-time jobs. I found it a bit weird and, even though the women in question were hot, I was not keen on having a fling (partly because I was very religious at the time as well).

The reason I could pass: my voice broke around age 14 and was very deep. Coupled with the fact I reached my full hight around 15 (and started having to properly shave) meant that I looked and sounded like someone a bit older. It was useful

Well, I recently got mistaken for a 19 year old... though I'm 27... with a beard... and like 6'3. Figure that one out.

I don't think I've ever really looked underage (apart from when I was). I guess the only real downside was having to go to the trouble of whipping out my driver's license when I tried to buy booze. That doesn't happen often though.

I'm in an odd situation. To some people I look younger than I actually am, while to others I look to be about 30. No one actually ever gets my age right. I'm 21 by the way.

All depends of whether I'm clean shaven or not.

Today, I have had a shave, then been to the barbers and had a nice stylish (for me, at least) haircut, and I look about 17 instead of 21. So I'm thoroughly expecting to be asked for ID when I go out for drinks tonight.

For me, this is a benefit more than a bad thing. My hairline is already beginning to retreat (cheers Dad) so I need to fight ageing on all fronts really.

I feel your pain about being lanky then going to the gym, OP. I just gave up after a while, when I have a regular routine once I finish Uni in summer, I'm gonna give it another go. I'd suggest doubling what you eat for a while to gain some weight before you go - that's my plan at least :p

I'm 25 (soon to be 26 in April) and often people think I'm 18- 21.

Honestly I never once felt bad for having a younger looking face as I kind of feel complemented when my work colleague ask me about my age or when one time an employee at the till asked for my ID (they both complement me about my age and apperance).

I'm 25 and I'm not really sure how young people think I am, but I get this every now and again too. (I'd probably get it more if I interacted with people more often...but I don't. People suck most of the time.) I don't really know what it is, maybe it's the fact that I'm 5 foot exactly, but I always thought I just generally looked my age.

Like...at one point my mother and I went to BooksAMillion to get some books. I was about 20, 21 and in college. My mother and I went to the counter and some of my purchases included mature rated manga. My mother was writing out a check since all of our money, her and my step-father's, and mine were all placed into a single account.

So as she's writing out this check, the woman behind the counter says "These books are rated mature. Is she old enough to be reading this?" in a snotty voice. My mother looked at the woman, very confused and then looked to me, also very confused. "I can't sell them to you if she's not old enough."

Now that's not right since my mother was making the check, doesn't matter what I picked even if I had been underage. My mother and I had never encountered this problem before and we were both flabbergasted. So my mother said "no she's college aged." It wasn't until we got back out to the car that we both realized how pissed we were for how she acted and had she pressed further I really do think we would have had words...especially with her manager.

If I have any kind of facial hair, I look to be in my early thirties; however, if I shave I look to be in my early twenties. I'm actually 28, and since I was about 16 I've always had this problem: I never actually look my age.

I usually rock out the facial hair because I tend to get more respect when people think I'm older, but it sometimes gets in the way of flirting as people tend to assume I can't be that older age without either being married or somehow defective.

My sister hates looking as young as she does, she's 25 this month and she gets ID'd whenever she buys alcohol. She really hates that I, at 23, do not. My advice for anyone with this problem is to grow a beard, they work wonders.

My whole family tends to look a bit younger than we are. For my mother and father, it's great because they're the youngest looking of their friends. For me it makes very little difference since I'm tall so people aren't sure where to place me.

For my sister, however, it's a pain in the arse on occasion: that is to say, on the occasions when old men and women shake their heads and act as if she should be ashamed of having two young children "at her age" - her age being twenty-five.

I'm eighteen and look like fourteen at most.

Never getting laid, ever, is the main problem.

I know of no advantages that have affected me personally, I guess they come later on like you said but frankly I'd rather not have the problem now even if it will become a good thing later on.

Grow beard: Problem solved.

The biggest disadvantage for me's always the hassle when buying liquor or getting into bars. Beard solves it pretty much.

I've generally looked older than what I appear to be and have been told so by many people, so it was strange back when I was twenty one that I got asked for I.D whilst buying a lottery ticket, I mean you have to be sixteen to buy a lottery ticket and at the time I was five years over that, and it wasn't like I had done anything to make myself look younger too, I mean I hadn't shaved and my clothing wasn't even remotely appropriate for anyone below sixteen, so to this day I'm just convinced the guy hadn't a clue how to judge peoples ages.

Having said that the pro's:
Getting into places you shouldn't earlier.
Generally more respected if not being looked at with suspicion as teenagers are counts.
Cons:
You look older so that's kind of obvious.
Getting called sir by little kids (true story) which made me feel monumentally old.

I've always looked younger than I am and well, it's never been a problem. I have saved money on getting a kid price on tickets when I was supposed to pay teen/adult prices. When I buy beer I get asked if I'm really old enough so I show my ID and buy beer. I can pick up high school chicks and no-one judges me for it.

Looking younger than my years have never been a problem and usually been an advantage.

Also... I don't pick up high school chicks... one tried to pick me up though she's never been rejected like that before...

I have a weird situation. My hair has more grey in it than what a 29 year old should have. If you look at my hair i look to be in my early 40's.

BUT my face looks like that of a college student. However, internally it seems like my organs are that of a 40-60 year old. My eyesight, hearing, and smell are all diminishing. Also, im starting to get hair growing out of my ears and nose, which is disgusting. Had to buy a trimmer for that.

I think i caught solid snakes advanced aging condition.
This is the same for me. I'm 33, and my hair has been slowly greying since my mid 20's. It's also receding, but my face is still young looking. However, my eyesight and hearing have always been shit. Been wearing glasses nearly 30 years, and I'm almost completely deaf in my right ear, due to ear infections as a kid.
