i was browsing some help sites and came accross an Ad for Runescae. its been years since i played it but i like to see what jagex adds, so i clicked on it ahd it took me to "Runescapeungeons of Daemonhiem"

it looks good and i was thinking of maybe starting again. anyone interested in creating an Escapist clan?

In the case that you were sarcastic, it does have some awesome quests indeed! I remember playing it when I was 8 or something, having to mediate between a (hilarious) dispute between goblins, or the whole Romeo and Julia thing.

It's one of the best browser based games out there if you ask me.

I started it up again a while ago for about 1 and half months, got my hit of nostalgia and then remembered why I left in the first place. Although it has the best quests around, it is is just far too much grind for me. I'm just waiting for Guild Wars 2 to rear it's magnificent head.

Runescape was pretty awesome, but I really hated how it made members such an elite group. Also, there didn't seem to be that much tying the world together, so I got annoyed after a while. Possibly my first instance of being a gaming snob.

Daemonhiem is a fun dugeon runner, too bad you can't keep anything but XP there though. It's fun, but suffers from grind like all MMO's. The main thing that keeps RS a float with WoW is affordability and the massive amount of content.

Holy shit. I used to play that when they were still making the transition into 3D. Looks good.

That was the only MMO I've played for any prolonged length of time. Being free was a plus (though they later initiated a member's section,) plus it had a broader range of activities to do than quite a few of the subscriptions I've played.

I've got the same problem. The quests are good, better than you'd find in most MMO's and maybe even most RPG's, but I have no patience for grinding, and Runescape is grind-tastic.

I logged in the other day to have a look around. It looks like they've added some cool new stuff, but I can't be bothered to start playing again now I'm so out of the loop and have no friends on it.

I do however still have around 5 million in gold and items if I ever do want to play again.
