You want forgiveness? Here is my list.

Star Wars: Battlefront 3
*And don't you dare give me an lazy port of the PSP version. I want the real thing on a real system (no offense) I want the ground to space battles, I want the 100 person battles (I would accept 32 people with the rest bots) and it would be nice to see the other stuff from the Alpha leak.

Star Wars: Republic Commando]
*NO MORE BOOKS! I want a game and it better have AI at least on par with the originals.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3
*There was a cliffhanger, RESOLVE IT! I could see The Old Republic resolving it but the huge gap disappoints me. Where is the Mandalorians Mandalor united to fight the Sith? Where is the robot army HK-47 raised to fight the Sifh (Deleted content [http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/KOTOR%202/Update%2052/index.html]. I count it because it is badass.) I know where the Republic is but they hardly seemed ready.

Star Wars: Force Unleashed 2
*It was flawed, but it was fun. DON'T SCREW IT UP!

Give me that and we will be perfect.

Ummmm, not to be a stickler to everyone begging for a KoToR3 (Believe me, I am too) but it was developed and almost entirely manufactured by Bioware. THEY wrote all of it with occasional consults back to LucasArts to make sure they weren't straying TOO far from the source material. It's a weeeee bit insulting that LucasArts is taking as much credit for Bioware's hard work as it seems to be. Anyway, off my soapbox and hoping one day LucasArts will realize they REALLY bloody need to make a new Jedi Knight game

And here I was thinking they were oblivious to the fan's opinions, based on what they've been giving us recently.

But why do they feel the need to continue this story. Force Unleased ended fine and fitted into cannon (if you choose the right ending). Surly they could find something else rather then resurrect Starkiller.

Not all Star Wars games have been bad! Jedi Knights, Battlefront, Empire at War & Force Unleashed 1 were all pretty good game and I did not regret spending money on them at any point.

1. remove the stupid rules against using the novels as source material
2. bring back the X-wing series
3. bring back the jedi knight series
4. ???
5. Epic profit

You've got a lot of work to do of you plan to get THAT...thing...out of my mind, LA.
OMG I loved that game!!!!
(looks around in hope of support...)

Moving on, most of the LA games I have bought I have been reasonably pleased with, battlefront 2, rouge leader, and the lego star wars games, and I'll probably buy this game, dispite FU being a bit of a letdown.
I shall support you, but I haven't played since I was 10. Also even in that bombad racing, the gungan levels managed to be bad.

What does Lucas arts do all day? I mean seriously they can't all be working on TFU2 all day right? Maybe they have some secret amazing project they're working on.....or maybe they are just ruining the fond memories people have of starwars, oh well back to the other game developers i have hope for.

What I want want is an apology from George Lucas for turning Mandalorians, the biggest bad-asses in the whole star wars universe, into a bunch of pansy hippies for the sake of a half assed saturday-morning kiddie show....

I really enjoyed The Force Unleashed but I think that they could have made it MUCH better with a few simple changes. Hopefully they will do that in TFU2.

Sorry Patriot, but due to Lucas getting his head stuck in his ass, the SW canon got retconned, making Mandalorians into hippies and breaking contract with Karen Traviss, who's he story writer for Republic Commando (both games and books)

Yeah, it's not like they had any really good SW franchises that they just haven't carried on with...

[small]
KotOR (as good as TOR looks, I'd take a proper KotOR 3 any day)
Jedi Knight (I mean, where the FUCK has is it gone?!)
Battlefront (Pandemic had all that work on it, yet they've scrapped all work on it now)
[/small]
This! I say, the games are the front where they haven't let us down, unlike the movies'.

Forgiving, yes, and not just the games. Even the books have taken a serious turn for the worse of late IMO. Really, I just can't figure LA out at times they can't even consistently milk something to death. Looking through the thread I can see the same, justifiable, cries of anguish repeated by fans on a regular basis. i.e. Why no new:

TIE fighter
Republic commando
Jedi Knight
Battlefront
KotOR (although the MMO probably covers some of this)

It's not that we want sequels and nothing else*, just don't dump formulas when they work so well. *Every company should put effort into generating new material (NB effort LA).

On a semi-related note anyone having trouble with KotOR 2 could try this fix. [http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=71929]

Well no, they have made some truly appalling games; I just can't understand why they don't continue with such successful franchises.

Reading through the thread, I find nothing I agree with more than this.
Single-player PC RPGs like KotOR will always have their place, and as long as they finish the damn thing, we will love it and mod the crap out of it and play it for years, all for a one-time cost, and without all that wishy-washy "other people" stuff.
Jedi Knight, same thing, single-player, fun, lightsaber-swinging, gun-slinging, Force-blasting action, good stories, and you always know who you want to kill. (Usually Ross.)
And as for Battlefront III... that would just... I would trade my little brother for a game as epic and brilliant as the one they were working on.

...Anyway, onto more... topic-related talk. New Force Unleashed.
Yes, we've been forgiving... kinda... but did ANYONE forgive the Wii version of this game? Yes, it removed the Star Destroyer level, but it also removed so much technology that to compare them is like comparing a steel ingot to a clump of sand.
Anyway, I hope they don't even BOTHER this time with a Wii release, and stick to making a decent game on the platforms that can actually run the bloody thing.
...And I also hope A) you get a lightsaber that maybe cuts stuff or is at least more lethal than calling your opponent a doody head, and B) you don't have to hold said saber like an inexperienced tool.

Also: Yes, I know this game is Force-based, not saber-based (title was a big hint) but if you're really dedicated to the idea of the lightsaber being as useless as a Twilight book, then just don't give us one at all. I'd rather stroll around, big black cloak, shooting unholy ammounts of lightning at someone and either dodging or stupidly force-blocking their sabers than be given the impotent cardboard tube I was handed in the first game.
