Republic Commando 2 or Battlefront 3.

Any other option is unacceptable.

In the event of a new IP, it had sure as fuck better be a spiritual successor to either of these two games, without the Kinect bullshit. Some Kinect functionality is fine, but not Star Wars Kinect, dear god no.

I'm hoping for a George Lucas sim (like "The Sims" only with George Lucas)

It'd be the day end, day out, trials and tribulations of being Georgie. Wake him up and help him pick his favorite flannel shirt, be able to tweak Star Wars into something closer to his "original vision", have money fights with LucasArts executives, drink coffee from his favorite Jar-Jar mug, work on his autobiography "Where did everything go so very,very wrong?" and more.

George Lucas finally concedes to never telling episodes 7-9, by creating the future trilogy in game form only as it would allow the original actors to reprise their roles and not be effected by aging.

Battlefront 3 seems the most likely but Im kind of hoping for a new game surrounding the new Jedi order. You know that time period after Vader kills the emperor and th rebels blow up the second death star which no one touches? Yeah that one, I would really like to experience what its like to be a jedi after Return of the jedi

The only Star Wars game I'll be even remotely interested in is Battlefront 3.

Add KOTOR 3, and I'll second that. Those are the only two games Lucasarts could make that I would possibly give a damn about, and both would be too little, too late.

My guess would be a new Force Unleashed. It's been a while since the last one after all and...the last one broke even didn't it? If not that than maybe a new update for Old Republic. I'm going to hold out hope for a new Republic Commando.

Haha, is that why people want a new RC game? I thought it was because it was awesome. Even so, imagine getting to play Delta squad as they join the 501st, and have to contend with their british-accented, racist new imperial squad member, hunting down jedi etc.

Anyway, I'm doubtful about it being all that "big" if it's a new IP. Fans want more of the games that were actually good, not another way to scrape the barrel.

It's hilarious to me that there are so many people hoping against hope that Lucasarts is actually going to revive one of their better franchises.

After seeing what they've done in the past five years, do you actually want them to try doing a KotOR 3 or Battlefront 3 or Republic Commando 2? Because I seriously doubt it would turn out to be anything good, and it would probably have terribly shoehorned in Kinect-support that's required but horribly programmed.

Jedi Academy and the superb Jedi Outcast are good game concerning the very thing you want

in fact you can get the entire jedi Knight series on steam rather cheap

and i have to say Jedi Outcast is probably the best Jedi simulator i guess, no game has ever made me feel more like a jedi than that

Wasn't battlefront 3 the title that had an article a while back, about how Lucasarts (if it was them) switched the management team, that did everything they could to destroy the project until funds ran out?

Or was that something else?

OT: I don't think it's going to be a big announcement. They just want hype. It's going to be massively disappointing.

The only thing I would be interested in would be Republic Commando 2. And they'd have to do a really damn good job with it to get me to buy it.

But the likelyhood of anything I like coming out of this is terrifyingly low.
