good, good. i wish them the best of luck, and anyone who joins in and gets caught has my deepest sympathies. I wish there was something i could do to help, but i'm simply not a hacker by any stretch of the word.
Wait - you support the people who might bring the end of the internet as we know it and then lead into a new internet with HEAVY restrictions?
yes. i advocate chaos.
Now I am going to assume you're joking... At least I hope.

The only thing I got out of this was a fantastic idea in my head, that I'm now going to draw, of a giant ship (in space) with thousands of cannons facing off on all sides obliterating structures on the surface of some planet. (probably ours)

Anyway.. Thanks for the appealing image, Lulsmores!

Apparently Lulzsec has already been doxed, or for those of you outside of the 4chan loop, they have been identified. Screen names, accounts on various sites (just names, no passwords), and pictures have been posted. Whether or not it's actually them remains to be seen.

You'd think they'd expect something like this and pull all of their data off of the net. Well, that which they had control of, anyway.
I think it's their egos. Hackers like notoriety.

If they have their leader's address why isn't the FBI or kicking down some doors?
The FBI still has to investigate. Can't just arrest random people.

Let's hope. There will always be more hackers though.

That's the best part, though! You can try almost anything you like, and you STILL can't be completely anonymous online. Once you've put any of your data up, you're never going to get it removed entirely. Even if you figure out a way to clear it out, I'm pretty sure there's a web archive project somewhere out there...and it's probably a searchable database that will take you to saved copies of webpages long since deleted.

Oh wait, there's EXACTLY THAT out there. The Wayback Machine. And they've used data provided by it as viable evidence in court cases.
The more you know!

It looks more to me like they're crying to Anon for their support more than anything. They're getting messed up pretty bad with the internet being completely against them save for some fucktards who actually think they're doing good.

LulzSec gets points for standing for something instead of just being a bunch of bullying douchebags. They're going about it wrong and I don't think anything good can come of this, but I'm at least glad they're trying to accomplish something now. That's what's always made them more dangerous than Anonymous; they have no ideals, no noble goals, only a desire to watch the world burn and laugh at it. But to be honest, I doubt this will be much of an improvement.

Do you guys not see the repercussions of this?
Sites are going to beef up their security.
It's what LulzSec has been trying to make people do since they started this circus side show.

It's like in real life... people dont fix it till someone gets hurt or dies.
Like that bridge in Florida.
90% of their motive probably was attention or pride/power.

Edit: I have to watch a commercial to post? I need to socialize in real life more apparently.

What exactly do you think they're standing for? Isn't trying to spread anarchy pretty much the opposite of standing for something, by standing for nothing?

It seems like they're taking a stand for the freedom of information on the internet. It's more complex than the "everyone should have access to everything" stance they take, of course; I'm not at all saying I agree with their actions or even the extent of their stance, but at least it's a stance. I'd rather be dealing with a powerful internet group that has a goal, whatever it may be, than one that just screws stuff up for the lulz.

Wow, not very lulzy but still pretty awesome, they're doing somthing good for once. I can not stand the idea that people in power can hide things they've done, and the arguement that its hidden for a reason is bullshit. Expose every secret, if its dirty, it absolutly deserves to be shown, if it isnt dirty, well no harm done. Information can only hurt someone if its bad
