So you had a one-night-stand. People who mutually consent to one have certain expectations, and one of those is that the other person understands that it was a one-time thing. Odds are, she doesn't want to be with you after that, anyway, considering that she just probably needed to blow off erupt with purge some steam and you were convenient.

How many times have you mentioned your age? If it was only once, you can convince her that she heard you wrong. Also when is your birthday? If it is soon, then teling her you're 18 might not seem as weird as saying your 17.

I don't think they take it seriously for 17 year olds, to the point of laughing parents out of court for it, but women, thriving off drama and attention, will inevitably make a big deal about it. She may not initially, but you can bet her friends will, after which she will agree with them.

To be honest, i would just bask in the glory of your victory and move on. There's plenty of other women, and they're not really that different in the end.

I know this because I have seen it. My sister who is only 16 recently broke up with her 23 year old boyfriend. The age gap is just too big, there are too many things a 23 year old can and does do that 16/17 year old's can't.

For example, she is allowed to drink and you are not. That alone creates a bunch of problems right here. Just find some other woman who is younger, or wait until you get older.

That's not the point. You've both had your fun, she has a right to know how old you really are so she can make a sober decision about your....relationship. Don't make up some half-arsed story, we've all told little lies to girls in bars, they know why we do it, telling a story will make you look childish.

Depends on her character, all in all its a pretty huge age difference, if its easy to hide than hide it, but won't she figure it out quite easily? I mean, you'd have to keep her away from your friends and make excuses for college/school/uni or w/e, won't you?

I think it'd be pretty easy to talk yourself out of trouble, but who knows.

Just tell her, starting a relationship on a lie NEVER works. You still fall in the range of half + 7 so as long as she follows that rule you'll be fine.

You might want to redo the math on that one. 23/2 = 11.5 + 7 is 18.5; he is 17 he clearly falls under "the rule".

On Topic: Honestly I wouldn't go for that kind of relationship you're talking about two people who are most likely in different stages of maturity. A person just finishing highschool and a person who is finishing university, pretty big difference in what is happening life wise.

I got dumped face to face and I really appreciated that she didn't send me a text or a message via Facebook.
We weren't even together for that long (2 months) but I appreciated that she did it the way she did.
