(To the Hunt!)

Audition after audition came, a woman with teeth a plenty able to shred things down from toe to head, she was quickly dismissed after chocking on a splinter.
Another was a robed man who summoned swords all around him, slicing and dicing in a storm of edges, and left after getting a solid staff to the crotch.

Beast men, and those with wings, and any number of them Came and went. Eventually narrowing it down it came out to 3 others.
A Wolf Man(?) so shaggy and fur covered with only short muffles of barking to show disapproval or agreement. Whether they were pure or surgically altered was left to best guess. He(?) passed after whispering in to Gales ear after a few sniffs and twitches of his(?) ears.
Gale called him(?) Wensah, and motioned hom to the bar, quickly taking a seat next to Krieger and giving a wuffle of greeting. Naked in every respect it was hard to see what he looked like under, asides from the rough shape of hunched wolf of old, brown and grey in respect to hair, and with ears and nose sticking out.

Another was a young woman, an Air Kin by the looks, with bladed wings and feathers sharp. She looked metallic in appearance and armored, she was sharp and hard to tell what she truly looked like below. Looking to Astor, he got the distinct feeling that she was winking at him judging by the glint of light in her eyes (holes). Folding the wings on her back they seemed to fold and fit snugly, sitting on a table, she was given wide space after her talon gouged out a chunk of wood and nearly another persons toe.
Her voice was like a cheese grater as she asked for a drink, and declared herself as Karnath

Last was a Human, plain and simple. Bald and like a monk, she fought toe to toe with Gale using a metal pole, the vibrations of each strike showing in both of their bodies. As the bout continued, the Woman blurred and moved faster in place. Sending a vibration with a stomp and smack of her stave, it ended in a tie, as Gale was blown back in well, a gale. The woman would have won but was dragged along as well in her strike, with a clever hook from Gales stave.

Most of the crowd left and a few of the fighters argued that they deserved a bout again.

(more to come one moment)

Dismissing the rabble with sharp tongue, or strong arm, Gale quickly gathered those he deemed worthy. Taking down any relevant information for contacting or residence, they would be departing in three days time.
"In the mean while, I suggest you prepare any weapons or items you may need. If you are unfamiliar with the Jungle then go to the Wall and head straight for the Armed Amorous, my expert will train you to prevent your death."

Handing out tokens on leather loops they were made of solid gold and with a milky pearl in the center. Changing color once handed, some were blue, others green, and for Karnath silver. (you can choose your color) Geniah after nodding to Astor in acknowledgement for his thanks, had moved to Gales side and was handing out leather purses, each clinking with 100 odd gold and silver pieces.

"This is your initial payment, and the charm allows us to call you. They also act as emergency beacons if crushed. If you have any further questions feel free to ask myself or my associate Geniah." Calmly examining each person as he walked past and took his time to explain.

"If you have no place to stay, your token will grant you stay here, and at the Amorous."
His tone was business but genuine, and was quickly pulled away with a polite tap on the shoulder for a hushed conversation with another of his tribe.

---(Free Period)---
(You can just say or put your character to certain tasks if you wish, basically going idle and not involving any real main story interactions. That or go exploring and roaming in the mean while.)
Gorse, Late Afternoon Harbor.

Geniah sat at the table, coiled and resting and looking generally pleasant.

Wensah had quickly left the bar at an ambling pace, easy to catch up to if anyone wished.

Karnath was picking her talons, at a table alone, occasionally getting evil looks as she gouged a chunk of wood.

The bartender was clearly not pleased as he polished a glass making it crack from the force.

The furred man still sat next to Royce, rambling about some misc. beasts and burdens.

The monk all the while (naming herself Minerva), was sitting at the bar, nursing a beer and rubbing her arms, bruises still evident from the fight. She had refused healing and simply seemed to ponder.

Outside the shores crashed gently, and all was calm.

Daryas, Gorse, Level 1, Strangled Serpent

"Go see Geniah next to Astor, she will heal you..."

Daryas looked suspicious at the woman that just healed Astor. With a sigh he said, "Many thanks for the offer but it's only a flesh wound so there's no need to worry about it."

He picked up his items and headed towards the door. Before he had the conversation with the hooded people he thought he saw another stranger following the menacing woman which had just left the bar. Since they left only around 5 minutes ago Daryas planned to find the two and see what was going on with the woman. However before leaving he called back to Astor, "Astor, I am going on a little hunt of my own, if you want to join me I could use your help."

Hoping that Astor would follow, Daryas pulled his hood up and exited the bar. Once in the street he looked left and right but there was no sight of them. Just as he was about to head North in hope to find them he saw a man leaning against the bar's wall, smiling. Daryas decided to see what he knew.

"You there, did you see where that woman, the one that stormed out of the bar 5 minutes ago, went? Also was she followed by a rather strange man? I could make it worth your while." Daryas aid taking out a small bag containing 5 gold coins and jingling it at the man's face in hope of getting the information out of him as quickly as possible.

Astor, Gorse, Level 1, Harbor, Strangled Serpent

Astor changed the colour of his charm to white, seeing as the Daryas stared at Geniah with some scepticism and walked away. Not to mention that he asked Astor to follow him. Astor sighed, he had wished to speak with the strange winged woman who had winked at him and was gnawing a chunk of wood. Odd, but intriguing as well. Astor said his farewells to Geniah and walked after Daryas with bitter sweet thoughts in his mind. If Daryas was simply using him, then he had another thing coming. Astor refused to be someone's tool or be used by anybody. He confronted Daryas just as he asked the man for information.

"You are a perfectly capable elf, why do you need me for your 'little hunt'?" Astor asked, saying the last part with a sneer.

"You are a perfectly capable elf, why do you need me for your 'little hunt'?" Astor asked, saying the last part with a sneer.

Turning around so that the man couldn't hear he said, "I saw the woman that rushed out of the bar and she seemed to have so strong powers. I also noticed another hooded man following her and I need to know what is going on. The thing is if I get caught eavesdropping on the plans of two master wizards then I wouldn't be able to take them on. That's why I wanted to have someone along who I could trust to watch my back and make sure I don't get turned into a bloody frog."

He now turned around and waited for the man's response.

The elf gave his reply:

"I saw the woman that rushed out of the bar and she seemed to have so strong powers.

And Astor nodded and indicated and this would be the last favour done for him today, he was itching for the Hunt to begin, to speak to the winged woman and speak with Geniah some more. He wanted to do so many things here, but out of loyalty and respect to the elf that chose to fight with him and not against him and also the person who shot him in the back with three arrows, but Astor let bygones be bygones and he conceded and stayed silent.

(Gouging, as in scratching slivers out of the wood, not chewing it or anything)
The man on the side of the tavern merely replied,
"She left and was being followed by the two hooded blokes, or at least they were moving in the same direction. As for the strange man he stopped and talked to her before going his own way."

Taking the pouch in a quick swipe, "If you want more information, it'll cost yah."

Looking over his shoulder, the man spoke again, "I suggest you find better company Air Kin, this one might stick you again. Chuckling to himself, the man was in good humor clearly.

"If you want more information, it'll cost yah."

Daryas was in no mood for games. In one fluid movement he swiped his pouch back from the man with one hand while drawing a dagger to the man's neck with the other.

"You don't get paid to make obvious statements." Daryas said in a calm voice, "Now read my lips asshole, WHERE DID SHE GO?" Daryas had hoped that he managed to scare the man. If he was lucky enough then the man might tell Daryas all he knew without requiring any further payment.

"You don't just stick a knife to a mans throat out side This Tavern, it's the Council Leaders place! Does no good for business if any back alley rat can just stick a knife in yer throat and demand something."

Hands raised in protest and face leering for any better word, the faint sound of silence from a bad move was made.

"Seeing how you are new, they went down to the warehouses, or at least the direction."

The click of a bolt and crossbow was audible, as it peered through a window on the second floor.
A gruff and rather hungover voice belched out from behind the shades,
"Boss doesn't like blokes like you, I suggest you give the pouch back."

The man accosted on the wall grinned, "And fer you to donate some to the Boss." The grin was lessened.

Daryas threw the initial pouch towards the man. "You will have the first pouch as was our agreement. To be honest with you I don't much care about your boss and if he has a problem he should come out here and take it up with us."

Daryas turned around and started making his way towards the warehouse. Before leaving he turned his head and told the man, "I gave you the money because that's what we agreed, not because you scared me. Your friend up there only had 1 bolt and there are 2 of us here and another 5 inside so he would be dead before he reloaded. Plus if he missed you know you would have both been dead."

Having said his part he began walking away.
