Oh boy, you ruined a party. Good job, now they won't be able to spend all the extra money entertaining people that actually enjoyed playing and working on the game.

You people are a disgrace to Southern European peoples, if not Italy in general.
I don't think we need say more.

This is just pathetic behaviour. It's fact that the Mafia had a large amount of Sicilian and Italian people involved, hell it came from Sicily. You can't deny facts because you don't like them. Fools.

EDIT: Wait, does that poster say "America- a beautiful Italian name"? It's from the feminine Latin version of mapmaker Amerigo Vespucci's first name. And as far as that goes, it's only thought to be a variation of it. I'd call it a Roman name before I'd call it an Italian name.
Actually that's a common misconception, it was named after a Welshman who sponsored the first voyage to discover the Americas, cant remember his name exactly but it was fairly similar to the word 'America'.
Richard Ameryk was an English merchant from the Bristol area. His name was a mangled version of the welsh name Meurig. And he financed the second voyage to the America's.

As an article this was pretty poor, how many people went to the event? how many were invited? The 'Italian'(I don't go around claiming to be 'Norman English' if you are born in America and your parents were born in America then your American.) mob standing on the curb would probably spout this nonsense whatever the reality.

Did anyone else enjoy the signs that say "End Anti-Italiansim"?

Is that a play on words? Like... anti-Italianism in a simulated form? Or... did someone not do a spellcheck before printing their banners?

Yeah, everyone knows that none of the members of the Italian-American mob were Italian - not that it was ever a real thing in the first place! Mafia 2 is obviously such a racist game because of this and 2K should be sued all the way home, for sure.
When in doubt, deny your history, and sue sue sue till people change it.

Wasn't their goal to stop the game from coming out altogether? And they crashed a party that no one wanted to go to anyway (which is actually made evident by the game's creators' lack of involvement)?

Good job!

"The lack of media coverage for the launch party is another indicator that they pulled back on promoting this event."

I fail to understand how this puts their group in a positive light. Isn't this 100% counter-productive?

I don't see Germans complaining about WW2 games, or the Chinese complaining about crime sandbox games in general in the past 5 years or so. What makes fucking Italians so fucking entitled to "no games that have Italian stereotype" law.

Hey, what's that sound? Why I do believe that it's the sound of everyone calling you a bunch of dumbasses.

Seriously, why are they getting so pissy over a game like Mafia 2? The Italian-American gangster stereotype has been around for coming up on 100 years now, do you think spoiling someone's launch party, where the retailer is just trying to make their wages is worth the effort?
Sounds like someone needs a hobby. May I suggest having a shot at Mafia 2? I hear it's quite good. :D

This wants to stop Mafia 2 from portraying Italians as a large group of oppressive individuals who, when they aren't simply handed what it is they demand, will stoop to underhanded tactics in order to achieve their goals.
And they do this by stooping to underhanded tactics in order to achieve their goals when they weren't simply handed what they demanded, oppressing people in the process.

Did they do this for the original Mafia?

OT: I don't really understand why their complaining. Goodfellas displayed Mafia life and that was based on a true story.
