yes it can be, studying spell books acquires you magic and so do a few other sourcescarnkhan4 said:magic cannot be acquired.
Hey, no need for sarcasm. That's not what I meant. I meant that magic users always seem to become weaker the more they use their magic whereas the techno/steampunk/whatever people don't suffer from that.Meta Like That said:Yeah, 'cause you never see scientists go overboard with their precious "research"...Danny Ocean said:I'm loving all of the vague and apparently profound responses in this thread. I'd got for science. Who says you can't eventually have a means to summon something from (Seemingly) nothing? Sure, magic is more here and now, but you always see it destroying it's controllers. You know, 'my power is too weak' and such.
What are you talking about? There are plenty of instances where magic does no harm to its users (runes) and often times makes them more aware or "enlightened".Danny Ocean said:Hey, no need for sarcasm. That's not what I meant. Hold on now.RAKtheUndead said:Which is why I find magic so unfulfilling. It's the Mary Sue of exposition.Haxordude said:Well technology would be cooler but magic would be better. A magic man could just use his murder everything spell.
Science may advance over time but magic has no limit and can do whatever science does but better.
