1. it isn't linkin park right now i have it on random it is Rammstein.
2. I "hate" bieber in the same way I hate twilight or anime.
Why do some people always change the "e" and the "i" around?
I hope I'm not offending anyone, but seriously why?
Due to the frequency of these mix-ups I don't thing they're just typos.
On topic: I honestly don't care about his music. It just seems so utterly bland to me, just like the rest of the "mainstream" music.
Lol, very pedantic of you. Speaking of off topic things though, very cool avatar brother.
Anyway, I've heard maybe two of Bieber's songs and I didn't like either of them, but honestly I wasn't paying that much attention (it was like over the loud speakers at the mall). I
have seen and heard him, and I agree that he is astonishingly effeminate. Maybe it's because this site is about as far as I get into internet culture, but I just haven't noticed his purportedly raving fan base. So I don't really hate him, but it is kind of funny how he's so girly. I have absolutely no reason to think I'll like him, so I choose not to listen.
On the other hand, I am of the opinion that mainstream music is much too focused on glib sexuality and petty relationships. Whether this is the cause of the shallowness of the average teen, or just a symptom, or if they feed each other in some kind of vicious cycle of vapid immaturity, is unclear to me. Similarly, if his music is really as empty as I've heard, I can't say if Bieber (or any pop artist really) causes his die-hard fans to be self-centered and quixotic, or if they just listen to him because they were that way in the first place.
A final disclaimer: People who like popular music are not necessarily "self-centered" or shallow. Someone can have a perfectly nice personality and still like some popular music. I find it unlikely though, that someone could be a well-rounded, responsible individual, and still consider themselves a fan of
only "popular" music, assuming they were "into" music in any significant way.
