Believe it or not we are not too far from it.zfactor said:The Holodeck.
Right now. It is basically the kinect with force feedback, so we can do it... Somehow...
Believe it or not that is actually in the planning stages.dakorok said:Honestly, I'm holding out for the space elevator. The amount of money that it will save on shuttle launches and the like will make it much more feasible to send materials into space, and who knows? Maybe we'll have a space hotel up there soon.
Grrr, you stole my idea... Space hotel linked with space elevator.dakorok said:Honestly, I'm holding out for the space elevator. what the hell is that? Is that a city inside a pyramid because the first thing that was the closest to this picture was this...Hawk of Battle said:This;

Yes it is indeed a city inside a giant pyramid. Specifically the Shimizu Mega City Pyramid, proposed for construction in the Tokyo Bay area. Capable of housing 750,000 people it would stand 14 times higher than the Great Pyramid at Giza and is so large that it cannot currently be built with convential technologies or materials. It's estimated it would take 1000 years to build if we started building it yesterday.0p3rati0n said:what the hell is that? and yes this is in disney world (EPCOT)....
LoL! Just a matter of "super" engineering. Disney made the first spherical structure. There are buildings that clam to be indestructible to any weather (yeah they also said the Titanic was unsinkable and look what happened). We could totally do that. But since we are "lazy" it's just a cool idea in a science fiction novel...Hawk of Battle said:Yes it is indeed a city inside a giant pyramid.
