Holographic Magnetic Pulse Proximity Grenade
The HMPPG has functions of both a grenade and a mine for maximum tactical capability.
1st setting: The Grenade function acts as such upon stage 1 detonation, a rather powerful Magnetic field is generated in a 50 foot radius around the grenade which violently closes in on the grenade itself bringing various battlefield debris with it (metal objects of course). Stage 2 detonation is triggered when the magnetic field is concentrated on the grenade itself, which then sends all of the debris/shrapnel/etc. ripping across the battlefield, in a gloriously powerful pulse wave of the rapid polarity reversal of the magnetic field hopefully killing and seriously wounding several of your targets.
2nd setting: The Mine function acts as a holographic proximity mine, which projects a hologram of whatever you have the ability to program into it (aside from many pre-set functions), to attract attention in any way possible (decoy, wounded enemy, civilian, etc.). Detonation occurs when anything with a bio-electric signature on the known scale of your opposing combatants gets within 10 feet of the mine. Detonation takes place in the same 2 stages as the Grenade setting.
Warning: Failure to allow yourself enough time to clear the hazard zone on the manual timer setting for the grenade or mine functions will result in your untimely demise.
Advisory: Extracting a deployed mine is possible without detonation. You must shut it off remotely with the HMPPG's own paired disarming device. Each one is paired with a specific HMPPG and will only work with its mate. Never approach a live HMPPG once deployed and armed.
