Awesome!

Obviously it won't protect against STD's but if you are in relationship where the female is on birth control, it adds an extra element of safety.

Female birth control is extremely reliable but isn't 100% effective. Add this pill to her pill and you've got even better chances of avoiding unwanted pregnancy.

Most girls I've been with hate taking the pill due to the fact that it makes them put on weight, especially around the awesome chest region. If this doesn't make men put on weight it would be a great alternative to what's available at the moment.

Hope it comes sooner rather than later.

This sounds great to me sense it's more effective than the female pill and can be taken less often I don't see anything bad about it.

Imagine in the future, both men and women assuring each other that they are on the pill.

I'm just waiting for this to happen. I don't think I could bring myself to take these, would much rather just go with a condom.

MY SWIMMERS! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

But in seriousness, I wouldn't take it, because I want children. I can't wait to have my own offspring who will take my lead and conquer the world in a perfect storm.

It will be really interesting for the human body to mutate to this pill , and future generation to be born sterile.
Fingers crossed anyhow!!!
I can't think of anything better than a mass decline in world population.

Unless I was in a committed relationship with a woman, I would use a condom anyways.

I am amazed that they could find a drug that works for 3 months in mice. Their metabolism makes them a terrible model for determining the effective dosage over a period of time.

im really really suprised this didnt exsist a while ago.
still i dont belive it will be released in my life time
they have to put this shit through alot of tests, even more if its going to be taken regularly
by a huge pecentage of the population
to cause a temporary effect that must never become perminent...
so 4 the time being
im sticking with my saying we made up in science last year
dont be silly
wrap your willy.
or if ure still worryed...pot the brown...:D

I hope it comes out and that it does sterilize all the people who take it. The less idiotic fucktards on this planet the better.

This is a super idea. I don't want kids full stop so frankly i couldn't give a toss if it made me sterile. I know you should always wear a rubber to prevent STDs and whatnot but if you're in a long term relationship with a girl chances are you know you're both 'clean'.

I heard a rather hilarious analogy for the difference between using a condom and going au naturelle.

"Wearing a condom for sex is like going to a five star restaurant with plastic cellophane wrapped around your tongue. Why would you do that?!"

STDs and pregnancy aside, the comment did give me a good chuckle.

Could be good, as long as they test the hell out of it before it gets into the market. It'd be pretty bad if it ended up accidentally sterilizing a chunk of the male population.
Would probably still be taking it, but I agree. Its kind of nice to see a male alternative, of course as mentioned above I see some problems arising as it can be used as an excuse for one night stands. Definitely a nice sounding backup for people looking for one night stands.

Hell yes! I wanna make sure its tested first, but I'd love the opportunity to take birth control into my own hands during sex. I don't want to trust a girl, even a girlfriend, assuring me shes kept track of her pills!

Seriously, is the "condoms make sex terrible!" idea that common? I'm honestly surprised by this, I've never had any problems. Safety first.

I really can't believe people haven't been researching this for longer.
I have seen scientists in the news claiming to have created the male contraceptive pill for as long as I have understood what contraception actually is (probably about 15 years then, give or take).

Scintillating...

Huh, I suppose I can appreciate males being given another venue to take reproductive responsibility.

If testing proves useful, then it seems like a temporary substitute for a vasectomy.
