"Nice." I examine the gun. It's a 357 Magnum. I pocket the gun in my trench coat (Which I totally always had) and unsheathe my bow, getting ready to shoot at the incoming horde.

I draw Peake, flicking a few switches and turning a number of dials. The blade begins to glow dimly and acquires a purple hue, as well as emitting an audible humming. "Peake's a lot more subtle than Pimpbastard."
"That is a fetching name, but you have already claimed it, and poison was never really my style."
"Fair enough. Some people just want to watch the world burn. Like me. Plus fire users I suppose."
"I was the one who set a row of shops on fire with Molotovs, I went a bit loopy not having to be subtle anymore, but now I've realised it's better this way." The sludge monsters are much closer now. "OK Peake, let's see what you can do." I slam the blade into the nearest creature and it bursts. "Good boy." I leap into the fray.
I fire most of my flaming arrows into the horde, as well as some explosive ones. I then dive in with a katana in one hand, and my gun in the other. I then proceed to make sludge sushi.
Within a few minutes the corridor is cleared, I lean on Peake and look around me. "Good work." I reset the dials and switches and clean the blade, re-sheathing it. "So what do we do now?"
"Now? We wait-Nah I'm fucking with you. We do whatever we want until something else important happens."
"Well um, I suppose we could look for more weapons, just in case. Especially now G's unlocked guns." I stroll into a store and pick up a sniper rifle. "Hmmm." After some work it's accuracy and power ware increased, I sling it over my shoulder by a strap and bag some specially made ammo.
"Aww...I wanted that." I decide to instead find a shotgun. Because, hey, who doesn't want a shotgun. I find a pump shotgun thankfully.
"I've been thinking, we should probably get a comm system going, so that even when we're all separate we can talk, because why don't we have one of those already?" I set to work and a number of walkie talkies, modifying them and allowing them to access the mall itself to channel the communications. "Now we just gotta get these to everyone else."
Knife tosses a grenade at REX'S cockpit. It bounces off and detonates above the mech, disrupting REX'S sensor array.Knife-28 said:

Grim's attack is about as effective as banging a pipe against a wall. His sword will not do much damage from down there. Without any automatic targeting systems at its disposal, REX'S cockpit is forced open. Black oil pours out of the cockpit, making the floor near the boss slick.
REX fires an easily avoidable machine gun burst. However, due to the turn-based nature of combat, the fighters are stuck in place. The burst misses Knife, hits Grim, and scrapes Salt. DAMAGE: -4

"Yeah well it's too bad that they left us up here, while they try to be the hero's." I say with a bit of resentment. I take the walkie-talkie and go and sit up on the support beam.
I sit next to Zombie. "Don't feel bad about it, we'll be in here for a long time so there's a lot of future opportunities for action." I pull a book out of my bag and start reading.
"Meh. Whatever you say Xot. Whatever you say." I pull out my laptop and start playing Fallout New Vegas.
After getting incredibly bored, I turn it off and begin trying to surf the internet, when I realize there isn't any here. "Hey Xot! Is there an internet router around here or something?"
