We ride around town, looking for a spot to hide out and plan our attack.

We go to Denny's.

"This isn't some post-con outing, Ran."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

I walk into the bathroom and continue changing my appearance.

 

[RaNDM G]

"They think they killed you, which means they think they'll be more of us coming. Which means we have to be careful about how we get you guys in."

I pull the building's blueprints from the back seat.

"I snaked this from Fire & Life."

 

[Saltarius]

"Ran. Do you not recall a key detail about me?"

 

[ShindoL Shill]

I walk back over to RaN and Salt.
"Are there any service tunnels we could use to get to the vault?"

 

[RaNDM G]

"You're pathetic with women and a terrible cop."

I drop the book over the table and gently turn the pages, scanning over each sheet and looking for large, fortified rooms.

"There. B4. I think I saw two access points in B2, but the layout is all messed up. It looks like they've been walled off."

I anxiously rub the back of my neck.

"They wouldn't keep it in a vault Tril, they probably have it locked up in storage somewhere else."

 

[Saltarius]

"Blind, you fuck."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"They're basically the same thing, and vaults happen to be secure. So, where are these storage units?"

 

[RaNDM G]

"Dunno."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"So, us busting in there is pointless?"

 

[RaNDM G]

"That's why we need to get in there and find out. If that thing is in there, that's one less thing to worry about. But we'll find out where it is no matter what."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"Right. Therefore, until I see evidence otherwise, I will assume it is in some kind of on-site vault. If it isn't, then something will probably be there."

 

[RaNDM G]

"Sounds good enough."

"Hello sirs. Can I get you some coffee to start you off?"

"Uh... Iced tea is fine."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"Nothing for me, thanks."
I start studying the blueprints, looking for places to access the building from underground.

 

[RaNDM G]

"There's B2, but it looks like it's walled off. And I don't see any other way in from underground."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"We might be able to get through the wall. Some plasma cutters, maybe a sledgehammer. Or, how about we take a leaf out of the Muertos' book and use the sewers?"

 

[RaNDM G]

"What is it with you and sewers?"

"And here you are."

She hands me my tea.

"Are you all set to order?"

"Maybe some fries. Can you cook them, like, golden?"

"Well done. Got it. Will that be all for you?"

"I think so, yeah."

"I'll have it right out."

"Nothing. They're just underground, easily accessible, not likely to have many guards..."

"And filled with tons of waste water. I'm not towing your gear through that."
