"Alright guys, we've gotta plan. We better start making a move. Can't be late for auctions now, can we?"

"So, what's this about an artifact you're stealing then?"

"Let's go, I can deal with the guards."

I send a group text to Zombie and Trilby.
[Message me when you need the distraction, then getthefuck out of there]

I head for a building overlooking the back of the auction house.
"I'm going to scout out the area and try and find out if there is a shift change pattern we could use."

[I'm going to assume you guys got my message, so don't act surprised when everything goes to shit]

[Sigma, we won't need a big distraction if there are only three guards. You, me and Zombie can just bonk them over the heads and drag them off. Also, we shouldn't HAVE to get out of the way. A distraction should take focus to the opposite side of the building.]

I start browsing the extensive list of Distractions I've built up over the past three years.

[Sigma, a distraction is actually bad. It would increase our chances of getting caught. Unless it's just something low key like a small swarm of rats. Or a car crash.]

"So, are we just going to grab it and run or...?"

"In effect, Salt. I'm going to bust into the vault where they're keeping the thing while Sigma creates a distraction, Zombie handles the security systems and Paddy and Sister keep everybody busy. Then, yes, I'll be grabbing it and running. I'll probably need some help with it, and we'll definitely need a getaway vehicle."

"I think I saw this exact sort of situation in Sly Cooper 2. Except how they distracted everyone to get the thigny was...no."

"Uh, I never played Sly 2. Care to elaborate?"

 

[Saltarius]

"The titular character is a thief and they have to steal a thingy from a ballroom dance event. He is in disguise and as such dances with the female cop who generally chases him, yet doesn't recognize him. The whole place is in awe of their skills, while his cohorts make off with the thingy that must be stolen. But I'm against this plan for obvious and petty reasons."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"Obvious reasons being that this isn't a ballroom dance event. Petty reasons being Paddy is going with Sister, which would... that would make you jealous of both of them, simultaneously, wouldn't it? Correct?" I ask. "But that is fairly similar, yes. Paddy and Sister are going to keep the auctioneers busy by doing the whole auction thing while we rob the place."

"Yes, alright? It would. Immensely. I'm petty. But as long as we can remain inconspicous, we can do this."

"Well, apart from possibly Sigma, remaining inconspicuous should be easy."
