I saw this on the news this morning and about spit out my coffee. While I try to understand other cultures this is just rediculous...http://www.buffalonews.com/494/story/578644.html

It is rather ridiculous and it even though it may be accepted in another culture, whilst they are living in this country they must abide by our rules.

I understand that this is absolutely horrific but:

"Obviously, this is the worst form of domestic violence possible," Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III said today.

...made me laugh.

Muzzammil Hassan is the founder and chief executive officer of Bridges TV, which he launched in 2004, amid hopes that it would help portray Muslims in a more positive light.
Well this isn't going to help, is it?

Yeah, that is strange.

Stranger though I saw no evidence or information, just "Yeah he did it" which of course makes me curious.

Why cut off her head? I mean a slit throat could kill someone but you must have some serious hatred to completely decapitate someone.

Dude... that's just horrific.

But why go tell the cops that she's dead after he's killed her, and after she has a protection order against him? Did he not think they'd put two and two together or is he suddenly overcome with guilt?

Oh dear. I feel bad but I did laugh at that.

Well...it said that he personally went to the station and said she was dead, I'm assuming that also means he made a confession relating to such. Could be wrong though.

I guess, but the media is usually frothing at the mouth with that sort of stuff yet here it is left blank.

Actually, if you read the article carefully, it only says he was charged. The only person who actually said that he did it was the DA, Frank A. Sedita III, when he talked about the "worst form of domestic violence", and it seems like he was just assuming the guy was guilty. Being a lawyer, he should know better. They always preface charges with words like "allegedly" and so on. The newspaper that published the peice was careful not to make the same mistake, although I'll admit they could easily have quoted him out of context.

I guess in that argument, she kind of lost her head.

All bad jokes aside, this is the one of the worst kinds of tragedy. A man killing his wife in such a brutal way...that's not right. He should be sent to prison for the rest of his life, at least. No parole or good behavior, either.
