That is probably the best thing I've read on The Escapist in a long time.
OT.. I don't know, I think of all of the cartoon characters to put into Playboy (and honestly, it's not the first time a drawing has been featured over a real person), marge is probably the worst.. She's always had a sort of Olive Oil appeal, usually pretty shapeless, and a her face is identical to homers - only with eyelashes.. that's a serious case of Butterface.. But, all that being said, I think if I saw it on the store shelves, I'd probably have to buy it, just to say "I have the Playboy issue where Marge Simpson bared it all".
What does Fox think about this? they must endorse it, otherwise it'd never happen.. I mean sure, if you want to draw Marge boning Santa's Little Helper and post it onto a freak website, that's your cup of tea, but a major publication? They must have paid a HUGE amount of money to Fox, I'd wager more then the gimmick will pay off.
I feel like I should be insulted by this...
Fortunately for me, I'm finding it hard to care enough about it.
All this is going to do for the reader-base of playboy is really confuse them when it comes to picking it off shelves and make them look and feel like weirdos when they buy it.
She's not particularly hot (in comparison with other cartoon characters), and why would you even want to see something you could even draw yourself, naked?
