I can't see it happening in England. The devolved countries maybe, but England is so conservative and uptight it's a vote-loser for the Conservatives to do anything that looks progressive.
Indeed, as I was typing that, a thousand little flying asterisks were hurriedly warning concerns all of each summarised by "but Tories though..."

I find it funny that people always seem to confuse "decriminalization" with "legalization". Decriminalization just means they make it so weed isn't against federal law. You can stilled be fined, or even charged with a felony still (depending on the laws written by the states).

Yeah, I think when they last talked about doing it here (quite a long time ago now) the crux of it was that if you were found to have a 'possession' amount on you (which actually isn't a fixed amount specified in law), it would be confiscated and that's it, but all other laws relating to supply and such would still apply.
