There's nothing ILLEGALLY wrong about it
Actually...

Art. 15. At all times, and particularly after an engagement, Parties to the conflict shall, without delay, take all possible measures to search for and collect the wounded and sick, to protect them against pillage and ill-treatment, to ensure their adequate care, and to search for the dead and prevent their being despoiled.

--Convention (I) for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded and Sick in Armed Forces in the Field. Geneva, 12 August 1949.
Art. 16. After every engagement, the two belligerents, so far as military interests permit, shall take steps to look for the shipwrecked, sick, and wounded, and to protect them, as well as the dead, against pillage and ill-treatment.

--Convention (X) for the Adaptation to Maritime Warfare of the Principles of the Geneva Convention. The Hague, 18 October 1907.
504. Other Types of War Crimes
In addition to the "grave breaches" of the Geneva Conventions of 1949, the following acts are representative of violations of the law of war (" war crimes"):

[...]

c. Maltreatment of dead bodies.

--Field Manual 27-10, The Law of Land Warfare, US Department of the Army, 18 July 1956, as modified by Change No. 1, 15 July 1976, § 504(c)
§ 950v. Crimes triable by military commissions
[...]
(b) OFFENSES. The following offenses shall be triable by military commission under this chapter at any time without limitation:
[...]
(20) INTENTIONALLY MISTREATING A DEAD BODY. Any person subject to this chapter who intentionally mistreats the body of a dead person, without justification by legitimate military necessity, shall be punished as a military commission under this chapter may direct."

--Military Commissions Act of 2006, 10 U.S.C. §§ 948a

this is really sad, as a US citizen, I don't even really care about the rest of the world. I just want our troops back home. I want to know my Dad, won't have to go to war unless we are attacked. I want this economy collapsing, slaughter fest to be done...am I the only American to feel this way? Why is this not being taken care of?

Country
United States
...I think I understand why most of the world hates my country now.

On a side note, this makes me remember a couple of unbearable jackasses that used to go to my school and would not shut up about how much they wanted to become Marines and get sent to Iraq to kill someone and they did it with such smugness that I just wanted to smash my chair over their head.

To every non-American in the world and to actual decent Marines, I apologize that we give these assholes guns. Seriously, who the do they think they are Duke Fucking Nukem?

I will never salute these people on Veteran's day and I will promplty tell these people to go fuck themselves if I ever meet them, the measure of a true hero is humility, not going around reminding people how awesome you are.

This is the sort of shit that makes the rest of the world really hate the U.S. If you're "the good guys", and not another bunch of terrorists than start acting like it.

After Abu Ghraib, there shouldn't be any excuse to let a soldier act like this.

I can't imagine their superiors will be happy with this. But I don't see anything inherently wrong with the act, apart from it being disrespectful to most cultures.
The fact that their families could've been supporting ISAF in Afghanistan up until that point? It's counter-productive to why we're out there. Sure, terrorism is evil and most self-made terrorists deserve to die or go under trial; but we're trying to show that to the people there. To me a corpse is a corpse and pissing on it shows disrespect, but it's just not intuitive of the soldiers who are supposed to be putting a stop to the dirty fighting and aiding in the development of a war torn, riddled country. Pissing on corpses sends out completely the wrong message. Completely.

Okay. After so long fighting the Taliban, I guess I can see how a strong hatred would build up, but this is just...
I'm not condemning the entire Marine Corps for the actions of a few individuals, but these guys are PROFESSIONAL soldiers. It's like a policeman spitting on a fairly arrested criminal.

I can't say that I care this happened. The Taliban guys are dead, so it's not like they're in any position to care about what happens to their corpses. On the same token, my reaction would be the same if it were the Taliban doing this to dead marines. Dead people really don't care about all that much, yanno?

Oh yeah, because our military's reputation isn't bad enough already.

Way to make America look even worse, idiots.
