My suggestion?

Boycott Marvel all together in response to the Disney buyout.
Not to start a discussion, but why exactly is that a bad thing?

I highly recommend the Annihilation event. Book one to three is the netire thing and it is perhaps the best Marvel story I have ever read.

aaahhh
you chose the wrong thunderbolts
v1+2 are far superior as they show character evolution a great consecutive storyline and FAR better art.
Actually I only added that copy because it looks like an important part of the Secret Invasion event and thus important for starting on Dark Reign. To be honest I don't have a clue where to start reading about The Thunderbolts, so far I've only read the Civil War tie-in.

And I'll buy The Runaways sooner or later, to many people have mentioned it by now to doubt about it being good or not.

So I recently bought some of the previously mentioned list and I also picked up Chaos War and Chaos War: Avengers, now I'm wondering are there any "must read" events between Siege and the Chaos War?
Heroic Age : Prince of Power basically sets up Chaos war. There's Shadowland as a crossover but thats very hit or miss, depends on how much you like Daredevil and street level heroes.

Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth - Head Trip is my favourite right now.

In fact, Deadpool is just my favourite Marvel character.
Isn't that the one with the meat suit?

I think to best TPB Marvel ever put out is "Kraven's Last Hunt" from all the way back in 1987. It is a Spiderman story and not surprisingly features Kraven the Hunter. Easily the best Spiderman story of all time. Otherwise you cannot go wrong looking for Dr Strange drawn by Steve Ditko great sixties and seventies art.

I like Suicide Squad (Dr. Amanda Waller is the only character who could take down the Bat permanently) and the super weird Grant Morrison run on Doom Patrol, those are my favorite superhero comics of all time. Plus DC have the best super-intelligent gorilla characters.

I did have a morbid fascination for Moon Knight for a while, but I stopped reading that after he was caught wearing his nemesis' preserved face by his girlfriend.

I like the Punisher, but anyone into any kind of anything will love Spider-man. And in comic form Ultimate isn't as bad as the games.

Yes Deadpool wore a meat-suit, but that wasn't in Merc with a Mouth. It was in an normal arc sometime around Dark Reign.

i've always enjoyed the ''Dark Reign'' storylines you might wanna try that TPB's and after Dark Reign you might wanna check the ''Siege'' and check the Death of Captain America by Ed Brubaker its a little bit long (18 issues) and if you already read it and liked it you might wanna check the ''Incognito'' by the same dude.. (sorry if this post is confusing)

Aye, that was Deadpool #11 when he fought "Hawkeye".

I Already bought most of the Dark Reign/Siege TPBs but I'm still reading the Secret Invasion Tie-ins(there's a lot of those).
I've also already read the Rebirth of Cap and I really enjoyed it so I'll definitely keep an eye on other works by Brubaker.

Heh, then you're missing the most important series of all. Seriously some of the best stories for both these characters come that run. It is a brilliant series because the two make such excellent foils for each other, Cable has always been so darn grimdark and Deadpool has the frequency to degrade into ridiculousness without humour, together they bounce off each other really well.
