Either Thane's or Samara's. Mainly because neither one has any combat.

Not sure whats more fun though, going into a club and mingling with people(doing various awesome things), or playing Good cop/Bad cop with Thane.

Jacob's always stood out the most for me, especially once you reach the climax of it; that conversation/scene is very well directed, and the ending I got was rather disturbing actually.

They're all very good though I thought - couldn't pick a "worst" one. Didn't really like the final fight in Grunt's very much, but it was still a very interesting mission.

Jack's was the most important to me because it was made her a more than a one-dimensional murder machine.

I don't even slightly dislike any of them. Jacob's is my favorite because it has some gorgeous scenery and a Lord of the Flies kind of vibe. Tali's is another favorite, as well as Legion's.

Awww man, I love most of them to be honest...

But since you're making me pick my favourite, I guess I'd have to go with Tali's one. I mean, who doesn't want to spend time with Tali? ^^

In any Bioware game, the mission with the trial is always the most exciting and climactic as there is always a massive shift in the associated character's backstory as well as a badass speech attached in there somewhere.

Ahh, the loyalty missions were excellent in Mass Effect 2. But which was the best, hmm...

I've gotta say Jack's, because it really reveals a lot about her past and it actually seems like she's worse off for it, despite being grateful to have it out of her mind.

Samara's was memorable, I'll give it that. I don't think it was the best because I find her less interesting than Jack, but goddamn that mission ends on one hell of a high-note. Interestingly, I found the mission to have a lot more impact on my second play-through. Maybe I felt more sympathy for them once I knew everything involved?

Kasumi's started and ended on high-notes, but I wasn't a fan of the combat sections of it. Really well done end choices for her, in my opinion. Really felt for the poor girl :(

Wasn't a fan of Garrus' though. Not sure why, I think I just don't like the drawn-out combat with the Blue Suns in it. It felt so unnecessary.

On an overall note, I loved how the choices you made in the loyalty missions build on the characters for potentially huge personal struggles in the future. I really hope Bioware takes everything into consideration to give the appropriate consequences.

EDIT: Also, Liara's is pretty awesome if that counts. It's just a shame it feels like a 2-man squad with a third wheel.

Legion's gave quite a bit of insight to the geth as a whole. A good learning experience for Shepard. tie that in with what you can learn in Tali's mission and things get more interesting (regarding the war only...who cares if Tali is exiled or not :p).

Garrus' was also interesting, it really lets you see the furthest extent of his character. And that he is still good at heart. In a way, I do hate letting Sidonis get away, but seeing how Garrus reacts later, as well as the bit about Sidonis turning himself in, I think makes up for it.

After having a really hard time remembering any of them and then reading about Garrus here, I'll need to go with him, as I think that one bit holding fort against incoming mercs was a nice touch to the otherwise overwhelming boredom of "go there, shoot this". Was also thinking about Jack's; I like desolate places. Other stuff I don't think I can remember to judge.

I didn't really like any of them, but I kinda liked the one you get from the bald woman with tattoos, only for the environment though. I like half destroyed buildings and rain.

Loved Samara's because it gave a break from combat, which is something i sometimes believe ME needs alot of (one of the reasons Half-Life 2 is so great is because it often breaks up the action with puzzles or exploration).

Other than that, Garrus is also my favorite.

Grunt's. I like krogans and killing the thresher maw was fun. Then came the mating proposals...

Second favorite would be Tali's. It seemed important, somehow, more than say, revenge or blowing stuff up. And the NPC's personalities were a nice touch, political and speech wise.

my favorite loyalty missions (in this order)
1. Kasumi (pretty neato)
2. Legion
3. Tali
4. Samara (good distraction from constant action)
5. Zaeed (his angry yelling is priceless)
6. Garrus
7. Mordin
8. Grunt
9. Jack
10. Miranda (she is too bitchy)
11. Jacob (that mission was just plain boring)

Garrus' was alright. So was thane's, if you're a renegade.
YOU GOT TO GET OUT OF HERE! THERE'S A BOMB!

Can't believe that worked.

OT: Legion or Moridin's because they deal with morality.

Garrus', easily. Garrus going nuts on Harkin was some really strong, dark character development. I spent the whole mission expecting Sidonis to be this mustache-twirling villain, and when he turned out to be this piteous, regretful coward it threw me for a loop and made the final decision extremely tense for me.

Samara's and Thane's get special mention though. Not only was it great to have some non-combat missions, but they're also the only ones that you can fail if you aren't careful. The first time I tried Thane's mission I got lost on the catwalks, and Thane's son succeeded in killing the politician. Thane was devastated, the mission ended, and the story continued. It was one of the few times that Bioware really stopped pulling its punches.

Blargh...must I choose just one?

Eh, alright then...in that case I pick Samara's mission. Disturbing at the beginning, but downright conflicting at the end because in spite of Morinth being in the wrong, she did have a good point really. Especially considering Samara's thoughts after it was all over.

Still, honorable mention should go to missions of Legion, Jack and Mordin. Good shit written in those.

Favourite? Tali's: A very nice mixture of dialogue and geth shooting.

Least favourite? Jacob's. Kinda liked the story and atmosphere was good, but the timeline plot holes really, really bugged me. Mechs? Only used in the last few years. Heat sinks and compatible weapons? Ditto. Yet the both litter the map.
