Gamespot Reveal of New Mass Effect Character [http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/rpg/masseffect2workingtitle/news.html?sid=6241567&tag=topslot;thumb;1&mode=previews]

Adding to the roster of new characters in ME2 is a new Asari biotic, Samara. She's oddly robotic compared to the other Asari we've met so far, but at the very least, we now know this -the Asari have their own version of Japan somewhere.

Cleavage-baring psychic ninja FTW!

Don't worry the ability of boobies to sell games will always be something we can all rely upon.

Hoorah! Boobies!

OT: She looks freaking bad-ass. Far more so than Liara (whom I like, but is entirely bereft of bad-assery) I reckon she's my favourite out of the new characters so far, based on what little I've seen and heard. I like how she seems kinda seductive, but scary and dangerous and weird-looking (even for an asari) too. Well done Bioware.

I'm still gonna miss Garrus and Wrex, but these new party-members seem more than capable of filling the hole left... Favourites so far ar Thane, and either Samara or Subject Zero

Not a big Grunt fan though, he seems to... "shiny" compared to Wrex.

OK, so if there isn't some hot male character Bioware will feel the full force of my wrath!

Is it just me, or are all of the new squadmates "ruthless who do anything to get the job done"

Your team in the first game had so much personality, all of the characters. And everyone here, except Tali, just seems dull.

Tali - Quarian Engineer who has apperantly been exiled from her people and now is traveling with Sheperd to try and make things right with her people. (At least thats what I think is happening, based on her intro video)

Now lets look at the new companions:

Grunt - ruthless Krogan who stops at nothing to get the job done
Subject Zero - ruthless human biotic who stops at nothing to get the job done
Thane - ruthless assassin who stops at nothing to get the job done
Samara - ruthless asari biotic who stops at nothing to get the job done.

Seriously, how about a little variaty.

Not having her on my team, she's fucking scary.

Am i the only one here who is starting to find it annoying how Bio-ware is spoiling like half of the game by telling us something about all of the characters in advance?
Yes.

You've seen 1 minute trailers of each character, how are you managing to compare exactly?

Alright, so I guess I can't compare the ME2 characters with Tali, or any of the other ME1 characters, since we've seen, and interacted with them all.

But all the ME2 character's trailers show basically the same type of person, a ruthless being who stops at nothing to get the job done.

Its just kind of depressing seeing all these trailers and making it look like all my teamates will be meatheads who do nothing but kill.

Indeed. First game's cast was much more intresting than a gang of bloodthirsty psychotic thugs. Seriously, it could have been more intresting than just making the cast Darker and Edgier. And what about those people who played as a Paragon in the first part? How are they going to get along with a team of rock-solid jerkwads?

Actually, she's my favourite of the new characters so far. Methinks she'll be the combat/biotic, or at least one of them.

This exactly is why I'm seriously considering not getting Mass Effect 2. The party members all seem so boring and cliche compared to the last game's.

From the looks of the video there appear to be five characters yet to be unveiled, they are probably the "good" characters to balance out the badasses released so far and maybe even more returning characters from the frist game so I would worry about there being a lack of personality in ME2 just yet.

I will admit, I am rather dissappointed with the cast of ME2 so far. Other than Tali, none of the confirmed characters would fit well with a Paragon character - or at least not with one that isn't a massive dick.

Samara doesn't count I think, because as she says "Your code is my code. Your morals are my morals". She basically gets off the hook by just being whatever you are.

On the other hand, I will immensely enjoy staring at her cleavage for long periods of time. Call me what you will, but I like a good view.
