360 because I can play it while sitting on my couch, on my 52 inch LCD. Plus I like the controls better, and I played the first one on the 360.
But that was mostly because it was a port, whereas with ME 2 they built both the PC and 360 versions from the ground up. That said I got the CE on my 360 because that is where my ME1 save files are. I also enjoy the console for this game, and am looking forward to TuesdayAjimboB said:Considering how buggy mass effect was on the PC, I think the 360 is your best bet.
My Rig cost me 275$ a couple of years ago (Ignoring recent computer explosion) and up until recently, it could play anything.Hiphophippo said:Breaking topic here but this don't really work this way. You might not be at the bleeding edge this point next year but shit doesn't go obsolete as people seem to think. Several year old graphic cards can still pump out amazing visuals.orannis62 said:I don't want to spend the money on a PC that can actually run modern games and will be obsolete in a year.
At any rate, PC seems the best choice at the moment if just because of mouse control.
In that case get the PC version - better everything.Hiphophippo said:I would, but I have an Arcade unit 360 and did not have a hard drive at the time of playing. That woefully small flash memory that comes with meant that to save other games I had to wipe. Thus, no longer have the save game. Real pity too, or I wouldn't have even second guessed it.
The PC version of GTA IV was awful because it was a crap port, not because PCs aren't suited to third person games - they were lazy with everything, not to mention the rather odd physics engine that made every movement feel like a challenge.Mcface said:The controls were awful. You couldn't even get out of the safehouses without running into 50 walls.Pingieking said:Since you played the first game on the X360 and the second game reads saves from that, just continue to use the X360.
I stick with PC, since my rig can easily outperform either HD console, and I like the mouse+keyboard setup more for basically any game that's not hack-and-slash or flight simulations.
I did. The port was... subpar. The duel shock 3 worked great though.Mcface said:Ever play GTA IV on PC?
EDIT: Bioware also has a track record of having their best version show up on PC. So for anyone who hasn't played Mass Effect 1, might want to take this into consideration.
3rd person games with cover and driving mechanics always feel much better with a controller.
Where as RTS and FPS are almost always superior on PC.
another good example would be rainbow six vegas 1&2

Theres only a few things that work well with the PC, Mass Effect doesn't.
Don't get too excited 360 fanboys, I still hate the damn thing.
It works absolutely fine, as fluent as an FPS on PC, aiming was easy and selecting powers/controlling my squad was simple..almightywabbit said:The fact that your using instead of a controller. A keyboard and mouse.Zing said:almightywabbit said:Unfortunatly, the 360.

I found the first ME to be a pleasant experience on PC, what would make ME2 bad?
Its too awkward for me, and with games such as ME, to me, it doesn't work.
Same here. Just feels more natural with a controller.MetallicaRulez0 said:360. Mouse and keyboard controls feel weird to me unless playing an MMO or RTS.
