I don't mind that they didn't show us what Quarians look like, and if they never do, that'll be alright with me. I've already resigned myself to the fact that, as a lowly human, I'll never get to see a Quarian out of his/her environment suit. ;) I'm one of those rare people who like her for her personality not for her looks, anyhow.

Quick PS edit for extra awesome.

EDIT: Oh, and apparently THIS is supposed to be leaked original concept for ME1:
That actually looks alot like what I thought quarians would look like. whether it's real or not is another thing.

I don't see why people think quarians are pale. I mean if they were human, it would make sense. Humans getting tanned is how we adapt to the sun. It's not for sure the quarians adapt the same way.

Do you guys think this is pretty accurate? possible? or have you seen a better one?
I mean, aren't a bunch of character's modeled after their voice actors?

In Tali's case, Liz [http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3959853056/nm2245907] Sroka [http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3926298624/nm2245907]?

Also the theory that it could go one of two ways:

CAT GIRL!!!!

No, not really. As I said before, judging by the similarity in DNA and leg structure with Turians, I'd assume she has some reptilian characteristics.
Turians are avian, not reptilian

We know they're 'less squishy' than humans and asaris.
To be fair, Birds and Reptiles have some pretty strong links between them.

Choosing Tali is all about platonic love. By doing that, you are walking the very mature path of saying "I don't care about appearance, I know we will never have sex, but I truly love her personality enaugh to only be with her forever".
Quitting because you discover that she is not pretty is kind of disgusting flavour of hypocritical, no?
Very true, and it is for this reason, that I hope they reveal Tali to be ugly. Not repulsive like a beast, but certainly not appealing. It could serve as a sort of social experiment, to see how many pissed off fans there are, and how many truly didn't care about her appearance.

Bioware is giving Tali the Master Chief treatment. Not showing her face because they believe we the fans can come up with far better theories of her appearance. showing her face would also kill the mystery, which adds to her appeal.
That's a very dangerous assumption for Bioware to make. Still to quote Yahtzee, since I can't think of a better quote, "Mysteries lose all their appeal the minute you explain them."

Anyone wants to gamble right now over the results of the experimant?(It probably won't happen, since in the ME universe the Rule of Cool/Fun/Sexy often trumps logic and stuff, so Tali will probably look like a hot human female with a weird skin colour or something, but it still would be interesting to think about)

Well, she has ten times more personality then the rest of the female characters put together so...
Agreed, that's why she was my romance and I didn't even have to ponder it this time. I can only hope that we get to see her in MS3. the developers seem to listen to the opinions of their fans so I think they just might give us what we want and always planned to do so: they just wanted to give us yet another reason to want to buy the third installment to the series. Here's hoping we see our love this time!

Nice drawing mate.

Tali kinda got shot in the face in my save game ... no way I'm going back - mining was just too much of a bore.
Yeah, happened to me my first playthrough. I was so pissed when that happened. Who knew Samara sucked at cover fire? . . . Or that she'd even need to provide it?

So after playing a female renegade game to clear the palate, I'm now in the process of repeating my male paragon game to get things right for my inevitable ME3 import.

I was psyched to find that they put the Tali romance option in ME2. I dumped Miranda so fast it made her head spin.

I'm pretty sure Bioware has no idea what the Quarians look like either, so they simply decided to keep it a secret. And despite that I'm curious about it I'd actually prefer to keep what I think they look like as the truth rather than to have Bioware bring that down.

But then again I always prefered to read books to watching the movies, it makes it seem more like my story and less like someone telling me what is and what's not.

Except you nail her at the end of the game.
I'm pretty sure it went beyond making out.

I guess you're putting sex on a back burner because you have to be cautious with it, but I think the implication is that you were definitely a little bit more than platonic with Tali right before the suicide mission.

According to the wiki article, Quarians are similar to mammals, even to the point of nursing their young.

"Quarians have an endoskeleton, lips, teeth, and two eyes with eyelids and tear ducts. Their ears or ear analogues differ in a noticeable fashion from those of humans, with references made to "what [passes] for the quarian version of an ear" (Ascension, p. 235). Females have mammary glands. Quarians may have evolved along similar lines as Earth's higher primates, much as Australia's koalas developed like Africa's leaf-eating prosimians: a phenomenon called convergent evolution." [http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Quarians]

Yay convergent evolution!

They'd be foolish to reveal what Tali and the other Quarians really look like now, because there is no way that anything they could come up with could possibly live up to anyone's over inflated expectations.
