It's not the ending, that was fine. It's not the linear nature of the missions, although I would have liked a bit more freedom ala mass effect 1. It's not even the lacklustre relationship growth, which was vastly inferior to mass effect 2.
No my friends, the thing that disappointed me was the squad. There were no Krogans, and that just isn't right because they are the coolest motherhumpers in the galaxy.
Who the hell is James Vega? we don't know this guy, we don't care about him, he's not even particularly useful as we already have a human squad-member available. He should have been replaced with Grunt.
And EDI? It was interesting, a fresh look on her as a character, but why do it? it had little plot relevance, we already had the whole heart wrenching business with the Geth/Quarians and Legion, oh my god Legion.
