Ok Just had a chance to play the Mass Effect 3: Omega DLC and thought I'd give you my opinion of it, but first:
***SPOILER ALERT!***
The war for Omega has begun - How far will you go to end it?
Firstly a bit of background, Mass Effect: Invasion, is a tie-in comic that explains how Aria lost Omega to Cerberus.
I read the comic before ME3's release and loved the mention during Aria's first meeting with Shepard in Purgatory (how the Illusive Man is at the top of Aria's "shit list") and looked forward to the retaking DLC.
Ok, back to the DLC
The story starts when Shepard recieves an email from Aria asking for a meeting to discuss her "pet project" this leads to four very short, very linear missions that don't change a damn thing.
Pro's & Con's
Pro's
*A Female Turian
(Finally we get to see what they look like.)
*Three new War Assets
(If you really need them.)
*Two new weapons
(Only one if you bought the collector's edition)
Con's
*Five FIVE missions
(And one of those is meeting Aria on the Citidel to chat!)
*The whole thing lasted about and hour and a half
(And I'd say a good fifty five percent of that is cut scenes/ chatting to NPC's.)
*You don't get to take any of your crew with you
(Also known as the "we couldn't be bothered to get the voice actors to record extra dialogue" excuse)
The premise is sound, and with the introduction of Nyreen Kandros (The Turian who turns out to be the polar opposite of Aria, someone who genuinely cares for the citizens of Omega) there was the option to choose a side, stick with Aria and take the war assets or side with Nyreen and allow Omega to be reborn, but instead we are left exactly where we started but with a bit more Eezo!
I'm a massive ME fan so I'm normally the one defending Bioware to the full, but boy does this DLC suck!
