The PC controls for these games suck, so I wouldn't even bother playing them without a gamepad. The game was clearly designed with a 360 controller in mind, so the fact that it doesn't support one is pretty dumb.

Well, that's interesting.
The ME3 PC boxart doesn't have the "Games for Windows" logo on it. (And I'm not talking about LIVE, just GFW).
[br]
Why is this significant?
Because there are a number of requirements a game must meet before that logo can appear on a game's box.
360 controller support is one of those requirements.
Irrelevent. A game can still have 360 controller support without being a GFW or GFWL game. New Vegas isn't a GFW title is it? Also, a game with the GFW or GFWL logo doesn't have to support controllers at all but if it does it has to support the 360 controller. For example, Age of Empires III is an RTS and obviously doesn't support controllers.

Get Xpadder and fix it yourself.

You're gaming on a PC, fix you own problems.

How about I just not buy it because Bioware doesn't give a shit about PC gamers? Shit, smaller studios than Bioware don't make me fix it myself. Xpadder is inferior to native support anyway.

*shrugs*

I prefer mouse and keyboard for pretty much everything other than driving games so this doesn't bother me in the slightest. I've got no idea why it's not in there, it does't seem like it would be hard to include, but it doesn't bother me.

Last few games I've played that were compatible with pads did a shoddy job anyway, I'd recommend using something 3rd party to do it instead.

I can't say enough good things about xpadder, I see a few other people use it too. I think there's a free version, it's really easy to use and bloody good.

Huh. I wonder why not. One would think that that's a relatively simple thing to include.

Oh well, doesn't affect me.
one does not simply "include" controller support

/dumb meme reference

OT: this is quite stupid...like you i use my 360 controller, and i use it for probably 30-50% of my games, and sometimes i put it to my tv also for comfort and size.

if they try and offer it as dlc, i will spear someone at EA/bioware.

Earlier the site crashed when it was reporting that I had over 2000 unread messages when I had 0...stability on The Escapist is shoddy at best, mix in Wednesday with a new Zero P and the shit hits the fan. And that's if you can connect to the server in the first place, which is hit or miss.

Could be worse, dungeon siege 3 had 360 pad support but no key mapping options at all for anything.

Except you lack:

- analog support
- rumble
- pressure sensitive buttons

The PC version of the game has to support these features else your analog stick becomes nothing more than an inaccurate d-pad, the game won't send the rumble signal on the PC version since a keyboard/mouse don't support that and the same is true for pressure sensitive buttons like the triggers.

Xpadder works but it is far from ideal.

Are they then going to split up roll, sprint, activate, and take cover into four separate buttons instead of binding them all onto one button?

Because that annoyed the hell out of me in ME2. Especially since in ME1 they were all separate.

Wait, wait wait wait wait wait, you have a PC, but you want to use a 360 controller? Talk about indecisive.

i do it all the time, honestly i don't see why not, there are some games that i greatly prefer to use my controller for, or if i decide to use my 40" lcd tv i just got then it's handy to use my controller for being comfortable.

Oh no, another PC elitist who can't see the benefit to using a controller for games DESIGNED for controllers while playing on the couch where a keyboard and mouse aren't comfortable.

Well everything in the demo was bound to the A button, so I dont think that will change.
