So i was looking at Metacritic, and i saw;

http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/mass-effect-3

This is the case across all platforms, so it must be some kind of coordinated effort. Do you think Bioware will have something to say? Sledgehammer certainly did when it happened to Modern Warfare 3. Also who is responsible? 4chan? Furthermore I realized this exact same thing happened to Dragon Age 2, another Bioware sequel

It's review bombing by 4chan or some of the annoying Bioware hateboys you see on these forums.

No-one has probably got through the game quick enough by now to give it a critical review.

Does this really actually matter?
This game is a third game in a series, if you're thinking about buying it you should know if you like the general idea of the game or not.
The score it has on metacritic isn't going to change your mind.

And if you're on the fence, you're probably going to read some reviews in detail instead of just looking at the number.

This is pointless and pathetic.

If Bioware are smart, they'll ignore, just as everyone else should.

What EA will do though is anyone's guess.

The problem is that they're posting fake reviews along with lowering the score. I don't know why they think this would work so early. The game is at least 20+ hours long without side quests, and anyone who isn't an idiot won't believe any user reviews, bad or good, for several days.

Didn't this also happen with Portal 2?

Yeah it did, because of "DLC" hats for multiplayer.

But, my point still stands, If you're going to buy ME-3, you know what you're getting into. At least in general. If you're really on the fence, you're probably going to read a detailed, serious review.
Reviews with a score of 1 are not serious reviews.
There are hardly games out there that really deserve a 1.

Is it really that hard to at least check the first page before posting a repeat thread? [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.353244-The-morons-are-at-it-again]

OT: Anyone who didn't see this coming is either new to the internet or has no grasp of pattern recognition.

'the morons are at it again' is kind of an ambiguous title. I didn't realize it was related to mass effect

Of course they review bomb... Just... Somebody. Invent a button I can press which will deliver a punch to the face through the internet.

I think it may be more than that Due to the leaks. If what I hear about the game was true you may be join them after a wile playing the game. I guess people will decide themselfs.

Yep. Metacritic is mostly just useful for the unintentional comedy these days. You've got 0's and 10's on one end and game journalism [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FopyRHHlt3M] on the other end.

Never trust any user reviews, good or bad. ESPECIALLY not when they have been posted barely six hours after an allegedly THIRTY-HOUR experience hit the American shelves.

Not buying the game because of the Day-1 DLC? Yeah, I can see people's issues there. Not buying the game and then declaring every second of it is shit because of the (possibly non-expositional) DLC? I'd say that was slighly unfair.

And any positive reviews are just people trying to offset the negatives ones, not ones who have played the game to fruition. None can be trusted. MetaCritic should honestly get rid of the user reviews altogether. Get some lovely forums, like right here at The Escapist! No-one is angry here!

I am way more annoyed by the score of the reviews, the game is not that great. But as always reviewers and fans will give it a way greater score than it should and hates will bomb it. And normal people will have to try reading in between the lines to find out it they care more about the things the game excels at than the things that really didn't really work, and whether the game will be any fun for them.

Actualy after reading a fair portion of the user reviews most of them seem to be complaining about a lack of writing talent and imported save files doing practicly nothing, now ive not played the game and im in no postition to judge, but out of curiosity i watched the mass effect 3 review on this website and found it equaly biased but praising the game instead of slating it and no one seems to care about that, just food for thought i guess.

I expected this due to the questionable acts from Bioware that has been circling the news lately. I'm actually more surprised by the community's reaction here. Well, not really that much surprised since I know most of you guys are freakin' Biodrones. But, I mean, really? A punching button? Are people really that dramatic or is it just here?

Reviews are all opinion anyways, why should it affect the way you like the game if you're already invested in the series?

Does a game getting 10 points from random people you don't know justify your purchase?

Didn't a lot of people get pirated version of the game early? If so then they may be posting reviews of it. Also yes there will be hate filled review bombing due to how much EA/Bioware have annoyed some of their fans.

If not for Skyrim then it would have been the most overhyped game of this generation, it may even be more overhyped than Skyrim. Although I am not sure about that. The point is that it is really overhyped and we all know how much hate overhyped games usaully get.

We should just pay attention to ME3 having 26 overwhelmingly positive critic reviews (so far).
Yeah, because game journalism is a shining beacon of critical integrity.
