A lot of people are raging over the DLC and the endings.
DLC people haven't read the script, or think (Not even sure I need this, but just to be safe)
Apparently explaining somewhat about Prothean Culture and how the cryostasis thingy all worked out and that [From what I saw one guy complaining about]
Is necessary information critical to the story. Seriously, some people are pathetic.

The Endings people I'll give more credit too, though review bombing is too far really. The endings are all pretty damn crap IMO - and its not the fact that there is no good one. I understand the anger here, but eh. Its why you never trust Metacritic.

Didn't a lot of people get pirated version of the game early? If so then they may be posting reviews of it. Also yes there will be hate filled review bombing due to how much EA/Bioware have annoyed some of their fans.
You can click to see if the people have reviewed any other games. Only 1 person that I have clicked that gave ME3 a low score also gave Portal 2 a 9. Its shit like that that make me not believe the reviews by users because if they only come out when they review bomb to raise or lower a score then they aren't to be trusted. Now if they had like 4-5 other reviews of games that are known to NOT have been review bombed it would be more believeable.
To be fair they could have just not reviewed any games before but been driven to by the sheer levels of hatred and rage caused by ME3. Unlikely but possible.

None the less, I see your point and most of these reviews are probably just review bombing.

But...let's be the rational human beings us Escapists are and note that, as a AAA game it can't possibly get less than 5/10 in an un-bias professional review, (all AAA games will be playable and therefore start at average, unless it really is unplayable and buggy...like Skyrim).

So, ME3 starts at 5/10, now I'm judging from the demo and what I've seen as it's not out here yet but I think I can make a guess as to how the game should review.

Everything works - 5/10
Improved combat - 6/10
Epic Story - 7/10
Great Voice acting - 8/10
Graphics and animation has somehow gotten worse - 7/10
multiplayer is fun for a little bit - 7/10

I mean, unless the game itself is literally FULL of bugs and control issues the game at least will be 6/10 and ONLY then if the bugs are on a level of Skyrim, which I doubt as Bioware have been pretty good with bugs so far.

Day 1 DLC doesn't mean you can give lower review scores
Design decisions to cut corners around designs of characters or scenes, you can give lower scores for this but come on, that's really detracting from the experience of the game

Let's say the story is god awful, that still only makes it a 6, not a 0.

The only way ME3 can get a 10 or a 9 is if the combat was improved to match the quality of Binary Domain or Vanquish, the enemy AI too, if the animation looked like Heavy Rain or something and if the story was literally the best thing in the world ever

The only way ME3 can get a 0 or 1 is if the game pretty much didn't work, you couldn't walk around because it was THAT painful to control, if the combat was like ME1 or even worse, if the animation looked like MGS on the PS, if the story made no sense or did something completely random or retconned everything.

Sure ME3 may do some of these things but certainly not all

If most places in the review industry are giving it 9/10 then that means that it is PLAYABLE and not completely broken. Which makes it go down to a 5/10 at the lowest.
The fact that its put out by EA or Bioware does not lower the score. Like a lot of those people are putting in there for.
