So now that my media blackout on ME3 is finally over after finishing the game today, I thought I'd make a thread to share some of the small moments we loved about the game. There were quite a few of them, actually. Most of them humorous. So share yours. The few that stick out the most for me:

This was awesome in a few ways. One: They acknowledged the error in Mass Effect 2 in which Conrad acts as if you made the Renegade action with him in the first game. Two: Conrad is a genius, apparently. It made me laugh when he just casually mentions that he wrote his doctoral dissertation on xenotechnology.

In the first game, biotic enemies shout this line constantly (Along with others who constantly shout "Go, go, go!" and "ENEMIES EVERYWHERE!!!"). It's pretty annoying, actually. In Mass Effect 2, Jack occasionally will say this. It fits her though. It was a nice callback then. And in Mass Effect 3, Jack becomes a teacher for biotic kids. One of the kids shouts the line, proudly mimicking her teacher.

The memorial wall in the Normandy: There is a wall on the crew deck that lists all those who died while serving on the Normandy. Most of these weren't people we met, so I'm not sure how most of them died (I think you rescue the whole crew at the end of Mass Effect 2 as long as you didn't delay, and they said only Pressley and one other person died in the destruction of the first Normandy). But you see some names you know: Pressley, Kaiden/Ashley, and anyone else who may have died up to that point.

Uttered mockingly to a supremely angry and annoyed Aria T'Loak. Made me smile.

Shepard: You big stupid jelly fish.

And the whole conversation where Kasumi refused to return.

Actually, if you play the Normandy Crashsite mission in ME2, you can find 12 (I think) dog tags. And didn´t some of them die when the SR-2 was attacked by the collectors?

Editing a single line of a .bin file to unlock the DLC character, saving myself $10!

I met this guy once called Jimmy Vega.

Oh Garrus, what would we do without you?

You're right. I forgot about that mission. That probably accounts for most of them, then. I was remembering the conversation with Jacob at the beginning of the game. About the The Collector base: It doesn't seem like anyone is missing after you rescue them from the base. As long as you don't delay, only colonists get "processed".

The way the holograms disintegrated. Very small detail, but I still loved it.

Also, Joker's "swear jar" dig toward Jack. Oh, and Jack on a whole. Her redesign was excellent.

I was critical of it looking at concept art, but her redesign looked excellent in game. She is my LI, and her entire mission and backstory of the last six months after the events of ME2 were perfect.

I'm loving how much squad interaction there is not only on the Normandy but also in the missions.
Also, slight spoilery question for the story
Anybody know if attacking TIM's base starts the end-game/point of no return missions? I've got the choice to but I want to make sure I'm fully sorted before I do.

I liked how Shepherd got hit by the giant laser, it sounds silly I know but up until that point the final mission was intense, and I was running towards the beam dodging the lasers and I was like heh these must be scripted to miss me and then wham! This giant beam fries me and I practically choked on my lifesaver.

Then he woke up and really looked messed up not even legion could of salvaged anything from that armor.

It does, so you might want to hold off.

I loved every minute of it apart form the end. Incredible game. So many magic moments.
Weren't you also skeptical of Mansell for the soundtrack? I know I was, at least. I was soooo wrong. The soundtrack is incredible.

Right, thanks. I'll finish off everything I need to, and just hope that the ending isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be!

So many little things to love. Like how the population of the Citadel changes completely after every big mission. It feels like an actual living world due to that. Also loving the fact the squadmates move around the ship, and actually talking to each other.

High point of that was for me:
Ashley lying hungover on the floor. Totally unexpected, but extremely cool.

I would say this, but all of the parts with Kai Leng in it were so fucking stupid. I'm not the biggest fan of the series, but I really enjoyed pretty much all of the game, ending aside. A shame too, because up until the final choice, the ending sequence was really good.

A specific small thing that I liked was how people on the Normandy actually interacted with each other quite regularly. It fleshed out relationships between the different characters and it was a nice change from the past two games.

Too many great moments to count really.

I liked when Shepard and Joker had their back and forth about the Geth Dreadnought, "Windows are a structural weakness. Remember?"

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of her in 2, but in 3, I friggin love her!

This was one of my favorite parts in the whole game. The conversation between Garrus and James made the crew feel more real; like they were actually building friendships and relationships rather than just shutting themselves off in their own little cubbyhole like in ME2.
