Palaven's moon was my favourite moment just to see how hard the Turians, the best fighters in the universe were getting demolished, it started the feel of it's over... We're all going to die, for me. Along with Javik's conversation about how poorly evolved our species were "Wait, the lizard people evolved?!" But like nearly everyone else. I honestly hated the endings. I'd stayed up all night to beat it. Saw one ending and figured it's just one. I'll rest and see the rest in 5 hours... But not besides Jeff-EDI thing and a different coloured explosion, they were exactly the same. And they were all bloody terrible choices I didn't want to make.

I was pleasantly surprised about the amount and quality of the humour throughout the game.

Great back and forth between characters, brilliant one liners. Was totally unexpected, but was definitely one of my favourite aspects of the game.

I'm loving how much squad interaction there is not only on the Normandy but also in the missions.
Also, slight spoilery question for the story
Anybody know if attacking TIM's base starts the end-game/point of no return missions? I've got the choice to but I want to make sure I'm fully sorted before I do.
It does, so you might want to hold off.
Right, thanks. I'll finish off everything I need to, and just hope that the ending isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be!
I'm sorry but it is, almost ruined mass effect for me
Bugger.
Well, I sat through most of the books, I can sit through this.

All of Garrus' lines. Especially "How's it going?" That really sealed the deal! In all seriousness, all of Garrus' and Tali's interactions were nice. Maybe it's just the attachment I have to these characters. I also liked how Legion became more of a person, and damn, how sad I was that he had to disseminate himself.

Tali getting drunk, uh clicking on Vega consecutively so he goes "Hey hey hey".
There may be more but I can't think of all now. Punching Gerrel is fun too. I reloaded the save just to do it twice.

OT: the hospital on the Citadel, seeing the doctors run to patients and such made it feel more like an actual hospital, even some of the flavor dialog between NPC's was great.
The story the Asari suffering from PTSD tells to the psychologist in the hospital is pretty heartbreaking.
The worst one (as in heartbreaking, not quality) of these for me was the teenager talking to the C-Sec employee in the temporary housing dock, closely followed by the old lady trying to find out about her son from the desk in the diplomats area while slowly losing her marbles.

I think Mass Effect is probably my favourite Bioware RPG so far not because of the mechanics or the quests or the overall story (though I liked the ending), but because we finally have an RPG that succeeded 100% on character interractions. They made me genuinly care about each crew member I interracted with and even turned me around on characters in the first game I didn't really like. My top 6 character moments are:

First time in an RPG I've ever really felt like a bit of a dick for doing an achievement. In the first game I romanced Ashley and in the second game, wanting the achievement, I went with Tali. As I was playing the 3rd game, I hooked back up with Ashley as it felt right and I wasn't expecting Tali to come back as anythin but a cameo. Suddenly, she's back on the Normandy and having to try and let a bunch of pixels with a voice actor down and I was feeling like a really arsehole because of it.

In the first game I never really used her and couldn't really connect or like her, but the quest in the acadamy place and then the drink in the bar after made me really enjoy the character. Even tempts me to go back to ME2 just to use her more then I did.

I loved that they gave you the chance to have a final chat with each team member from the previous games before you go into the fight. The oppotunity to say goodbye to characters I'd spent over 100hrs (across 3 games) getting to know was really appreciated and a big thank you to whoever in the design team threw that scene in.

I've always liked Joker as a character and while part of me felt it was a little weird, I enjoyed the pseudo-love story and I was happy with my ending choice of the bio-tech merge when I saw Joker walking properly with EDI

Garrus was my favourite character in 1 by a long shot and I even cheered when he turned up in 2 so his reappearence in 3 would be on this list no matter what. The reason he's so high is for the "Garrus' Last Day" sequence. It was really great to see what was essentially 2 friends goofing off and having a drink and his line of "My name is Garrus Vakarian and this is my favourite place on the Citadel" was both funny and touching. My only regret is I didn't use him more in missions, but sadly EDI had a much more useful skillset.

Humour is a rare thing in games nowadays, but between crew interactions (Chess shouldn't work like that), various NPC activities on the Citadel (He really wants that refund) and straight out jokes (Garrus and Joker trading insulting jokes in the cockpit) I haven't laughed so much with a game in a long long time.

Feels good to have been proven wrong. I was very worried how Mass Effect 3 would turn out but ultimately it was an amazing end to a franchise that I'd put most heart and soul in over the years. So, just pointing out specific moments is almost counter-productive since I loved almost the entire game.

But, if I had to choose, it would be the small conversations you would find in the Normandy, especially between Garrus and Vega. The small rendevouz mission with the old crew were amazing as well, seeing Jack, Grunt and finally Kahlee Sanders is something I won't soon forget. And hey, EDI with a body wasn't as horrific as I thought, it actually felt quiet natural.

Oh geez, I forgot that one. That poor woman...

I also had my first literal tear-jerking moment while I was playing tonight... never going to look at the Blue Rose of Illium sidequest the same ever again.

Yeah, I actually got a chill down my spine when Char recited his last poem.

When Garrus said "I'm Garrus Vakarian and this is my favourite place on the citadel" I almost died of laughter

and this:

When Legion called itself "I" instead of "we" before it died was sad. Was the saddest moment imo.

Say what you will about bioware but when they say they deliver, by god do tthey deliver.

Ashley lying hungover on the floor. Totally unexpected, but extremely cool.
Tali has a similar moment, too.
And her drunken tirade sounded just like most fans who hate Miranda. I think I now want to see all of the crew drunk. So far it's...Dr Chakwas, Ashley, and Tali.
I did really like how Bioware showed it was very much aware of how fans preceived the series.

- References to Shepard's dance moves.
- One of Jack's students jokingly yelling "I will destroy you!"
- The Normandy crew being fully aware of EDI's ridiculously smoking hot bod.

One of my favourite moments in ME2 was listening in on the bachelor party, with the human, the turian, and the salarian commenting on the asari table dancer.

I loved that I was getting as screwed over by going half and half paragon/renegade as before.

I loved the feel of unstoppable force playing as Vanguard (Hardcore diff).

The way my sexless Shepard ended up :-D I was thinking about Ashley in ME1 and then I was like naah, there were very few things that I actually like about her and looks weren't one of them. In ME2 there was obvious Miranda (such a whiny annoying ... eh >D ) and Tali (who in the end got duped because it seemed like really bad idea) besides I'm not all that interested about kissing plastic screens. I never ever imagined I'd end up with Liara xD I mean Asari are extremely not attractive to me, but that whole remember Shepard thing was cool and then she kind of disappeared from my play-through and to give me that share my mind with you at the end.
SO obviously we were on Earth with the sounds of battle coming from not too far away and she just "transported" us to this place where there is nothing but us darkness and slowly white light starts to go up on the horizon while she snuggles up to you. And that was all, and it was for some reason SO cool! :D And then she got a little face time in the ending sequence and got achiev for romancing someone. My Shep died as a virgin, so sad xD

There's far too many for me to write down.

Let's just say I've never giggled so much playing a game.

I really felt the character interaction between different characters was really well done in this game. Walking in on Tali and Garrus was hilarious.

I dont know if anyone mentioned it, but Mordin singing Hurrah for the Krogan Queen puts a huge smile on my face anytime I hear it. Also, Tali drunk: "Don't 'Ahh!' me. You sound like a Vorcha.". Priceless

It does. You are warned this before you kick it off - you choose to dock with the base and Hackett asks you if you are ready, as this is the end game coming up.

It should be noted that you will be returned to before this mission once you complete the game, to allow you to continue to play.
