An amazing game. Lots of great moments. All of the calibration jokes.
Drunk Tali in the lounge.

Ashley lying hungover on the floor. Totally unexpected, but extremely cool.
Tali has a similar moment, too.
And her drunken tirade sounded just like most fans who hate Miranda. I think I now want to see all of the crew drunk. So far it's...Dr Chakwas, Ashley, and Tali.

Spoilered for the end of the game, but it was hilarious. Needless to say that was the funniest thing I have seen in a video game.

I walked down to talk to garrus and found him getting intimate with a close friend (Tali). Needless to say, I feel that she and him will be happy together on Virmire/Palaven or wherever they landed.

The only person in the whole game who was able to move me emotionally was Conrad Verner.

"Shepherd....shepherd did I help?"

"Yeah Conrad. You helped."

That and the scene with the "turian brandy, triple filtered and introduced into the suit through an emergency induction port."

I haven't had that one yet! I wonder what the trigger is for that one.

Also, there's Blasto.

Basically all the conversations between squadmates. One in particular being between Garrus and Liara. Liara asked about whether or not it was true Garrus killed three guys in one shot. Garrus then said something along the lines of:

"Nah, the third guy died of a heart attack. I don't think it would be fair to count him."

XD

I can just imagine it now:

Shepard, after months, possibly years of searching for his friends finally reunites with Tali:

Shepard: Tali! I finally found you! We can finally go to your home planet and create a home there now like you said!

Tali: Oh! Um... Shepard! It's er... good to see you.

Shepard: What's wrong Tali? Aren't you happy to see me?

Tali: Yes I am, it's just uh...

Shepard: What is it Tali?

*Garrus walks in without clothes*

Garrus: Hey Tali where did you see where I put my... oh.

Shepard: ...

Tali:...

Garrus:...

Shepard: I should go.

I'm loving how much squad interaction there is not only on the Normandy but also in the missions.
Also, slight spoilery question for the story
Anybody know if attacking TIM's base starts the end-game/point of no return missions? I've got the choice to but I want to make sure I'm fully sorted before I do.
It does, so you might want to hold off.
Right, thanks. I'll finish off everything I need to, and just hope that the ending isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be!
I'm sorry but it is, almost ruined mass effect for me

I didn't like the ending, but it hardly negates 40 hours of pure amazingness.

That reminds me of another thing I love: It took me just as long to beat this as it did the first two games, but there was almost no fluff (Mako, Scanning, etc).

The whole damn game, from beginning to the utter end.

Some noteable hightlights

I liked how Shepherd got hit by the giant laser, it sounds silly I know but up until that point the final mission was intense, and I was running towards the beam dodging the lasers and I was like heh these must be scripted to miss me and then wham! This giant beam fries me and I practically choked on my lifesaver.

Then he woke up and really looked messed up not even legion could of salvaged anything from that armor.
That.

And:

The way Shepard is on the verge of tears for some of the goodbyes in the last mission.

The Blasto Poster & Audio Clip. The argument in the shuttle bay about Mako vs. Hammerhead. Glorious wave to the fans, made me giggle like a little schoolgirl.

Palavin's (spelling?) moon. At first I was like, "earth gets invaded yeah yeah", but when I saw how badly the Turians, who had the biggest damn fleet in the galaxy, were getting hammered, it was a sobering experience. Combined with the atmosphere and the music I really felt "This really is the end of days".

Yeah, that's the one I got too. Maybe if you didn't do the quest with Jenna, you don't get this in ME3.

(Not finished with it yet, but I've got plenty to add already)

Shepard's look of horror at EDI's recycling oxygen joke. ... actually, EDI in general. I was so on the fence about what was happening to her, but they've pulled it off fantastically well so far.

Jack. Just Jack. And related to that, Grissom Academy and Kahlee Sanders. I've read all three of the novels (and there are only three), and when I saw Grissom was a location, I was so happy. Finally seeing Kahlee was just more of a bonus.

A little bit of Mordin singing again, Wrex, and Eve! I'm amazed by how much I enjoy Eve, I think a lot of it has to do with her voice xD I'm also happy that female krogan and salarians show little difference from the males, it's nice to see that asari are not the standard for females of other species.

Grunt's little crowning moment of awesome was also fantastic. And finding Boo in Jack's old sleeping area! And you can't forget the fish-feeder, either...

And I don't care how this ends. I love this series, and even if one percent of it just sucks (which may not even be my case, I'm actually quite excited to get to the endings), 99% has still been absolutely amazing, and that's enough to call it worth my time and money. And I cannot wait to see what else is in store.

Personally, it was the flirting between Shepard and his/her love interests. Tali seems to be much more bold now, and Garrus? He says that he has no romantic skills, but both my girlfriend and myself agree, he really is the Turian Batman. Boy got smooth after the Collector mission, I'll give him that.

OT: the hospital on the Citadel, seeing the doctors run to patients and such made it feel more like an actual hospital, even some of the flavor dialog between NPC's was great.
The story the Asari suffering from PTSD tells to the psychologist in the hospital is pretty heartbreaking.

The sacrifices my crewmates made (that is, the ones that were unavoidable - some dodgeable ones were a little stupid (Looking at you, Samara)) really hit home. Even though I knew they'd be coming, even though it's a beloved character dying, I can respect how well done they were.

The shooting contest with Garrus was great, as well as all the inter-crew chatter on the Normandy. Garrus and Joker trading jokes was a good one that I haven't seen mentioned yet.

And so many other things, but a lot of them have been addressed so far.
