Well if neither Grunt or Wrex are going to be back then who in the hell am i going to use in my squad now? Its now down to Shepard, Garrus & random, which sucks. Speaking of which, i was wondering if you could possibly get a Batarian squad member, seeing as how its the one space race that doesn't appear to be useless that hasn't been a squad member
I was under the impression Casey Hudson was quoted as saying all the main characters would return (I'm not sure what the definition of 'main character' is, presumably that means Conrad Verner's ghost won't be making a cameo), just not all of them in combat roles. Hopefully it'll be a little bit meatier than Wrex's whole "Hey broski, what up! Not much? Yeah, me neither. Catch ya later!" routine in the last game.Shadow Geo said:

As for the actual topic, I'd tend to imagine that all the love interests will be there. That's what, seven not counting thane? Six without jacob, who I assume is a romance prospect but haven't, you know, tested it or anything.
I'm pretty sure liara and ashley/kaiden will be a major part of the plot, since they appeared in ME2 but it was impossible for them to die during the suicide mission.

Honestly, I doubt that. Legion's whole purpose after all is to study Shepard after all. I mean, they could make an excuse and send him back to the Geth, but with how popular he seems to be, I don't think it's terribly likely. Bioware is more likely to have him in the squad, if only as a fanboy wank to generate more sales.Phishfood said:

Grunt, gone back to Tuchanka
Jack will either be off doing her own thing or still with Shepard.
Mordin, I'm guessing he'll still be part of the Normandy crew, devoting his full time to working in its labs.
Zaeed returns to merc work, possibly on the Alliance's behalf
Kasumi returns to her thieving or spies on potential enemies
Samara, I'm guessing she still works with Shepard, probably not directly as a squad member, but she'll still be fighting with you.
Morinth, maybe the same as Samara or maybe goes off to do her own thing
Thane, either dead or dying
Legion, returning to the Geth

Wrex will still be leading the Krogan.
