"Would you like to fight for the other side, Wires?" Santius said. "I'm sure some of us would love an excuse to tear you to pieces. So, I ask kindly: Would you shut your fucking mouth before I beat you to death with your own arms?"

Dregger knew he couldn't go for a stealthy look at the enemy so he decided to get creative. He holstered his gun and picked up one of the bits of metal that fell off of the catwalk, then used a Throw to propel it up above the barricade of crates. when it crossed into the sight line of whoever was behind it, at least three assault rifles went off firing at the decoy.

"Well you were right, they rearmed themselves."

Ocara walked down the cat-walk stairs casually, an unconscious guard slung over her shoulder and an entertained, yet disapproving look playing on his face.

"Idiot tried to run, he got up the ladder to the roof, but he didn't make it much further" declared Ocara, dropping the man from his shoulder onto the hard ground and pausing to stretch after doing so. The man at Ocara's feet had been one of the few to attempt escape, even making it as far as the roof, before Ocara caught up, cracked him in the jaw with an elbow strike and slung him over his shoulder.

"Overall quite a successful mission though, despite the fact we didn't use my flash bombs I'd set up" finished Ocara, dropping the limp arm of his captive on the floor, having dragged the man inside.

I'll warn you now, my posting will be sporadic at best for the next 4-5 days, I've got four parties to go too in a row and I don't think I'll be in a state to write on the fifth day (I'm not even in a state to write now). Just thought I'd give yall a heads up.

Lux:

Lux sighed as he looked around the factory and at the wall of boxes in front of them.

"Set up a perimeter," he ordered over the Comms. "If they don't want us coming in there, I don't want them coming out."

Lux walked to Raven and indicated for them to go into the office nearby to talk. He didn't know what the best course of action here would be.

"It'll be a blood bath if we move in," Lux said as soon as the doors were shut behind them. "They'll have guns trained on all the entrances. We could try smoking or flashing them out I guess, or having some of the Biotics try to destroy their position, but either way, they're ready and armed against us."

He looked around the office a few times, eyeing over desks with papers scattered across them, and consoles still left open. The situation had become a lot more complicated then aticipated as the sides had come to a standoff.

"Fuck."

Raven slammed his hands on the desk in frustration, sliding them to the side to clear the refuse from the surface. "We don't have much choice Lux, we have to move in and secure the smugglers." Glancing up at the hastily erected barrier in the main room, he thought for a minute before voicing his idea. "We move in with three teams, a krogan and biotic to each. Push in from three sides to divide the attention between us and flash and clear. As soon as the grenades go off the biotics move in and suppress them. We can minimize casualties and avoid any of us taking damage."

Lux:

"Great," Lux said sarcastically. "Getting designated as meat shield. What are the recruits for again?"

Lux looked around at those set up with their guns readied towards the barricades, before announcing the plan.

"Me, Korat, and Dregger will lead the spearhead inside. We'll toss flashes over the wall to soften them up, with Biotics following close behind to incapacitate any they see. Get ready and stack up."

We move in with three teams, a krogan and biotic to each
"One biotic in each? That stupid ape human! My plan had one biotic in each but noooooo." Thought Wires.

Wires opened up his omni tool. "Yeah, biotic in each, sure. I've got Qulana and John here with me, and we'll join up with Dregger."
Wires heard the metal getting shot at. "Damn! Assault Rifles!" muttered Wires. "John, Qulana, get up here, I'll need a hand."

Wires opened a direct line to Dregger. "Dregger, this is Wires. We're at your position, on my mark, get ready to charge. We've got you covered."

Wires already had the perfect plan in mind, he just hoped the others would go along with it. "Time to make some noise" muttered Wires to himself.

I'm in Geelong (AKA, not at home) right now, so my posting will be a little off. If Wires is really NEEDED, or something, and I don't post within an acceptable time limit, Ted can do the post, but I should be mostly ok.

Paladin briefly considered using the papers and other materials scattered around the facility to smoke them out, or jury-rig the pile of scrapped mechs into a bomb, but there wasn't nearly enough flammable material to smoke out the smugglers without burning the facility down around them all, and the bots were far enough away that he wouldn't be able to get there without sporting a new set of holes. So the standing plan seemed like the best idea.

"Alright, you need a biotic, I'm your man."

Something tells me we won't really regret his absence

"Hey Lux, I have an idea." Dregger said over the comm while he inspected the barrier for openings.
"How thick is the exterior wall on the side of the building behind their position? I'm pretty sure that we can get some explosives, breach the wall, and take them by surprise. It would throw them off balance and we could pick them off before they know what hit them."

Brooks:

"Looks like we have company," Brooks said as he pointed back over his should at the approaching Batarian manager behind him.

"Which of you is in charge?" he asked as he looked to John, Wires, and Brooks.

Silence answered him as the recruits glanced at one another.

"Look, I don't care," he said as he looked down on the three prisoners lined up next to the Gauntlet. "But you can't leave them like that. I have workers, and they're all disturbed and distracted by the three armed men with several prisoners lined up against their ship. Why don't you put them inside or something?"

Brooks look into the cargo bay of the Gauntlet, and to the weapons racks on its sides.

"Wires," Brooks said as he pointed to the corner of the Gauntlet closest to them. "Move those weapons. Put 'em elsewhere so these guys don't get any stupid ideas. Make sure they aren't loaded as well."

John walked over to the manager and put his arm across the back of his neck, guiding him away from the Gauntlet.

"Say buddy, how 'bout you let us do your jobs. The sooner we finish, the sooner we're not in your way. Besides you wouldn't wanna risk getting hit by a stray shot would you?" With that John clapped the batarian on the shoulder, and started to return to the shuttle.

"Have a good day now."

Lux:

"Listen up," Lux said once again, getting the attention of those around for a moment. "This is how we split it. Dregger, you take Terina and Paladin. Korat, you'll be leading Ocara and Santius through. That leaves you with me and Raven, Qulana."

He waited as they all started to form in their respective groups before opening his Comms to Esten.

"Esten, you take Sal onto whatever remains of the catwalks are left. Once in position, wait for my call. Then, drop flash bangs, so everyone else can assault."

"Understood," he replied as he and Sal left the office to take their positions on the catwalks above.

Dregger let out a heavy sigh and said, "Alright, I'll keep the horn dogs on a leash. Get over here mongrels." Then he began walking over to his position.

Rook:

Rook could see Sal and Esten leaving the office and slowly making their way across the catwalks before cloaking and disappearing from his view. He didn't know if either had seen him, but he knew it really didn't matter.

He peered over the edge once more, looking down on the few guards and smugglers left below. He had been able to follow Ocara and Sal in, despite lacking a cloak, and had made it onto the catwalks. He had been able to silently subdue a guard making his rounds on them, who was now lying beside him. When the others entered though, all the remaining guards and smugglers flocked to the corner beneath him. Knowing that if he stayed on the catwalks he'd be easily spotted and fired upon, Rook lifted the guard onto the top of a nearby shelf, before pulling himself up.

He couldn't make out what was being said below, but he had been able to record how many remained. Four guards had made it back, each of them now carrying weapons pilfered from crates nearby. There were three smugglers that had made it as well. Two of them he had watched go inside one of the larger crates directly beneath him. He couldn't tell what they were doing, but knew they were likely either hiding or looking for more weapons and armour, perhaps even explosives. The final smuggler seemed to have taken up arms with the guards, and was standing with them with a large calibre rifle. Then finally, there was a red headed human woman. She seemed to be the one directing all the others. She was carrying what looked like a more exotic and oddly designed shotgun that almost seemed to dwarf her. All Rook could tell was that it was one of the ones that marksmanship wouldn't matter with because of the destruction it would cause.

She's the prime target.

Rook decided that when everyone else moved in, he would as well. He'd drop down from the shelves into the middle of the guards. A singularity or shockwave might work to incapacitate them, and then he'd be able to put his focus on the woman.

Paladin debated shooting Dregger in the foot over that "mongrel" comment, but now was hardly the time, with hostile smugglers across the facility.

"Horn Dog" however, Paladin's eyes rolled slightly up as he considered his actions over the past few months, yeah, that one was fair. But it had been almost two years since Lienne had died, and a man had needs, he wasn't ready to love again, but he was grown up enough to know sex was not love.

He considered what the team would be looking forward to from the smugglers, looking at the their crates, the weaponry was probably in good condition, little chance of jamming or misfiring. On the plus side none of them would have had time to put on armor, so any that weren't armored when they came in wouldn't be now. They would however, probably have shields.

Ethan brought up his tech armor and prepared another overload blast, setting it up for greater potential power and diameter.

"You know Dregger, I'm starting to get the sensation that you don't like me, now I don't give a shit what you think about me, but until the mission is over, stow it. You can tell me what you think about me and my lifestyle when we're out of this damn warehouse, you got it?"

Wires gave an informal joking two fingered salute.
"Yes sir, sir!" Wires shouted.
Wires turned away from Brooks to head towards the Gauntlet.
"Damn human, I left The Citadel to get away from heavy lifting and menial jobs." he grumbled under his breath.

Wires tapped a few buttons on his Omni Tool and muttered into it. "Erebus! Come!"

Wires started checking all the guns for heat clips. "Yeah, Brooks, these are all okay!" said Wires. "Where do you want me to move th- EREBUUUUS! GOOD BOY! WHO'S A GOOD MECH?! WHO'S A GOOD MECH? GOOOOD BOOOY!" Wires shouted.

Wires pointed at the gun rack in the cargo. "Erebus! Protect!" Erebus barked once and sat down at the gun rack.

Wires grinned. "Ahem, sorry about that. Where do you want them Brooks?"

Terina nodded at Paladin's comment. "Agreed. Prisoners tend to be more useful alive than dead. Although I admit to not understanding why we need prisoners. I see more efficiency in eliminating the smugglers, then taking their data for ourselves to use in the future. But I'm not the one in charge, and if I was, the group would not last as long as it has." She frowned briefly, remembering her last assignment. "But enough about wants and could-bes. Let's get in, take our prisoners, and get out. No wasting of time."
