Paladin used his biotics in the way he had the unique advantage of being trained, he focused on the Vorcha that he saw were armed, and destabilized their footing and balance with weak, focused biotics to keep them from lining up a shot, then put a bullet of his own into their now positioned brain-pans. When the obvious threats were down, he took a quick second to see how his team was doing.

Jetta had followed through marvelously, not only did she manage to take down most of the Vorcha charge, she was quickly and efficiently dispatching the ones she had missed.

Terina was also handling herself in a capable but non-specific manner.

After the crowd was down, Ethan drew his Kassa, in case one was hiding, regenerating and in need of ventilation. He prepped his omni-tool to admister medi-gel and walked over to Brooks, keeping his gun focused on the pile of dead Vorcha.

"thanks for sending the kills our way Brooks, you need any 'gel? Nobody runs through a pack of Vorcha without at least getting scratched up."

"Sounds good, course if they're as unorganized as we think they are we may not even need to cloak." Sal said to Ocara stepping out of the transport. She strapped her rifle on her back and pulled out her Tempest. She pressed a button on her onmi-tool and shuddered as she felt the small dose of anti-biotics enter her blood-stream. Even if the Vorcha weren't trained soliders they could still get lucky.

"Alright lead my friend." She said flipping the safety of her Tempest off.

Ocara nodded to Sal, his usual smile still sitting neatly on his face, as he tapped his left temple with his finger, activating the low power IR function in his eye. While the function wasn't as powerful as it had once been, due mostly to Verhal breaking his eye when they had their 'spat', it could still detect the low heat signatures the Vorcha put out behind thin walls and light cover, giving him and Sal the edge in any confrontations they might run into.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ocara led the way down a narrow maintenance tunnel that ran parallel to the path the rest of Aegis had engaged the Vorcha down, his pistol in a two handed combat-ready grip low infront of him. The Turian and the Quarian hadn't encountered and enemies as of yet, but Ocara could almost feel that they would find their quarry soon. And then, as if by magic.

"Bingo" muttered Ocara, just loud enough for his partner to hear him, for his eye had picked up two lightly armed Vorcha towards the end of the tunnel they were sneaking down, both seemingly preparing an amateur ambush for Aegis, both of they stacked up on one side of the wall, the front Vorcha kneeling down and cradling a Katana shotgun with his gnarled hands and the other holding some kind of assault rifle.

"Two enemies at the end of the tunnel just to the left, should be easy, you game?" asked Ocara, even though he had already moved the the end of he tunnel and was preparing to attack, without awaiting an answer.

Terina raised her shotgun, shooting at a nearly hidden vorcha. After it fell, she fired again, killing it before it could regenerate. "We aren't doing too bad. Yet."

Paladin turned to his team, "alright you guys, we got lucky with that group, but if we want to win this thing, we're going to have to keep looking for more of these yellow bastards. From the looks of it, we'll have the best chance searching these buildings. The more we can flush out the better chance we'll have winning whatever the hell Verahl has for us." He then turned to Brooks, "what do you say, want to come with us, win this thing with us?"

I've got my tech armor powered up. I'll go in first. just get ready to cover me in case they're armed. Paladin moved toward the building that, if they worked on it, could be considered ramshackle and kicked in the door, he turned on his omni-tool flashlight on as he gripped his kassa, ready to unload a bunch of slugs into anything that moved.

He spotted two Vorcha standing off to the side, holding a pair of broken assault rifles like clubs. He took them out with a series of quick shots with his Locust. He wasn't really expecting much, any fit vorcha would have come out when they heard the shooting earlier.

Terina walked in behind him, looking into another room. Two vorcha. She aimed, and fired twice, taking them both out. She stepped back, looking at Paladin.

I dont know if this is affecting other people, but please, could you both slow down on the advancement a little? Some people wont be able to react and participate in the story with the furious pace you two are setting, due to time constraints and shizzle like that. So could you slow it down and leave a few Vorcha for the rest of us please :p But that being said, thanks for the dedication to the RP and there have been some nices posts from both of you, keep it up.... But slow it down :D

Yeah, I've been trying not to force the story to advance for anyone other than my immediate group. But I'll slow it down a bit

Yeah I'm sorry for my lack of posts even on weekdays but the only computer I have is my dads and he won't let me on that. I'm typing this on my girlfriends computer right now so....yeah there ya go.

Sal jogged after Ocara to the end of the hall. She spotted the vorcha as Ocara pointed them out. "Two enemies at the end of the tunnel just to the left, should be easy, you game?"

"You bet, you want the one on top or the one crouching?" She asked leveling her Tempest at the vorcha.

Jetta followed the rest of her team, playing clean-up and making carefully sure that no one got away, eyes peeled for red, watching eyes through windows and lurking in the darkness. The other Aegis members were right: easy. Too easy, to her instincts.

An Hour Later:

Lux:

Lux was laughing as he lifted up his Shredder from the destroyed window he had placed it on. All he could see in the street in front of him were dozens of Vorcha that he and Raven had managed to slaughter. Most were dead from the fire, but a few were still clinging to life.

"Great work Korat," Lux said into his Comm, thanking him for herding the remaining Vorcha into the crossfire that had been set up. "If there are anymore down here, they're likely running scared for somewhere safer."

He made his way out onto the street and started counting the Vorcha that lay there. He made his way up to twenty before giving up.

"What should we call that Raven? Fifteen a piece?" Lux asked with a wide grin on his face. "Whatever it is, it puts me ahead of Brooks."

Lux opened up his Shredder and started removing the spent thermal clips that remained inside it. He heard the Razor overhead while doing it, and looked up to see it landing in the street nearby. Esten walked out and towards Lux and Raven.

"There's no more that can be seen from up there," he said as he looked over the bodies that lay around him.

"It's good enough," Lux said as he opened his Omni-Tool up to open his Comm Channel to everyone.

"We've cleaned up enough of these Vorcha, get to our position for a pickup back to headquarters."

Brooks:

Brooks responded to Lux first.

"We got it, give us five to ten to reach you," he said as he placed his shotgun over his shoulder and continued to stroll down the street. He then closed the channel and looked at Ethan, Terina, and Jetta. The four had stuck together after the initial Vorcha they had killed.

"All in all a good day's work, right?" he asked cheerfully as they continued on. "I mean, we must have killed at least a hundred Vorcha between all of us, and not a single one of us got---"

Before he could finish, a single sniper round broke the silence as it whizzed only inches by Brook's head. Brooks froze for a second before having his armour's motors activate, grabbing Jetta, and diving into the closest alley. He poked his head around the dumpster they landed behind to see Terina and Ethan covering in the alley opposite.

"Where did that come from?!" Brooks said, loud enough for them to hear.

He paused to quickly look above the dumpster and down the street. He only bobbed up for a second before looking down again.

"I can't see any---" Brooks started saying before another round rang off of the other side of the dumpster.

Jetta was after Brooks and diving for cover with very little encouragement, cursing the reliability of her doom instincts. She flickered a surge of biotic power through her nerves experimentally, not releasing it, more pondering how to direct the damage without knowledge of where to aim. She tapped on her Comms unit. "We have a sniper fire at [insert specific location], anyone have a visual on source?"

Esten:

While Lux started swearing, Esten immediatly responded.

"The Razor and the rest of us are several streets away," he said as he rushed back to the ship. "It'll be at least five minutes before anyone can respond."

"GET DOWN" Paladin dove behind the jutting protection of the alley. He saw Terina take cover with him and shouted across the street to Jetta and Brooks. "You two OK?"

Brooks:

"Oh, I'm fine, glad that I don't have a shot lodged between the two halves of my brain, what about you?"

Brooks quickly checked the clip of his rifle glanced at the top of the dumpster.

No matter where that sniper is, I'm out of range.
