Ocara watched through his scope as Verhal and the others made there way into the hotel, he watched through FLIR as they made there way towards the room that he presumed contained the mercs they were extracting. He say them enter the room and just as they were leaving he was taken aback and thought to himself 'What the hells up with that dudes arm?'

There are currently no hostiles. Basically to simplify, Basara and Esten made it out of there and escaped. Currently, we're sitting in a hotel room with no one around. Blood Pack lost the two so unless we draw attention to ourselves, we have a good chance of escaping without detection.

Also, yes, we do have Comms between people. You can talk to anyone over them.

Oh, and sorry I wasn't on yesterday, but it's a Friday, and most of us don't come on then, right? Or at least not as frequently.
"Alright, let's move. I don't know how secure this area is, but our headquarters would be a much more suitable location."

Verahl opened the door to the room as everyone walked out into the halls. They reached the lobby, and the girl sitting there gave a bit of a jolt when she finally noticed all the heavily armed mercs moving through the hotel.

They reached the streets and started snaking through back alleys around the buildings of this level, slowly pushing towards the transport. It paid to be careful right now, because they all knew if they were detected, they might be tracked back.

Even though they were off the main street, the back alleys were quite loud. Overhead, the sound of low flying cars and trucks passing regularly broke the tension. The houses they passed weren't quiet either. Every so often they'd hear yelling eminating from one, or a loud telivision blaring in the other. The sound masked their movements though, but it also would have masked anyone following them.

After minutes of slowly crafting their escape through the alleys, they came back onto the street again. They saw the parking lot across from them, with a few of the company standing guard outside it.

"There it is, the dark grey light cargo transport."

"Confirmed," Esten said and nodded.

"Alright, time to bang out."

The company came out of the alley and quickly crossed the street. The street was quite crowded though, as people left their homes to go to work. The company was soon pushed further and further apart from one another as the crowd cut through them. People bounced off them, and said loudly and rudely, "What do you think you're doing?", or things to that effect. Lux was first to the other side. Despite the self centred people that made up the crowd, no person was stupid enough to get directly in the way of a Krogan. Sal and Raven soon made it through to the otherside, followed by Basara and Esten.

The company looked back, anxious now at Verahl's disapperance. Suddenly, a few yells and screams were heard, as Verahl literally pushed his way through the crowd, knocking a nearby human onto the ground. He was now wearing a brown, hot drink on the outside of his armour, and had a scowl on his face.

"I hate the people on this station."

Sal climbed onto the transport "I know what you mean boss, I swear I was almost stopped three time just because I was a Quarian, If I hadn't been walking right next to Raven I would still be out there arguing with some who had accused me with stealing their credit chit."

Ocara had hopped down from the roof of the transport and was already seated by the time Sal climbed aboard " Yeah talking of credit chits, i haven't seen mine in awhile" he joked as he folded his rifle and carved a mark on top of its barrel.

"Don't forget about Mayli though, can't trust any of them," he smiled as he grabbed a towel and wiped the drink off of his armour.

"Now, lock in and let's go."

The Gaunlet was now airbourne as the company took their seats in the transport.

"Alright, so speak up, what the hell happened?" Lux beat Verahl and the rest of the company to asking Apex what had happened.

Basara raised an eyebrow at Ocara. "When the hell did you get a kill?" He asked. He waved his hand dismissively. "Nevermind. Anyway, what happened... more like what didn't happen." Basara chuckled dryly. "we were hired by the Blue Suns. Worst idea ever. We should've known, it was too much cash for a simple job. We were attacked by the blood pack. They set up a blockade for the trucks. We thought it was a simple police check- until the vans started to resemble swiss cheese with the bullet holes. Everyone else was killed. Esten and I were in the same van. He got hit in the leg by a stray bullet while reaching for his sniper. I carried him up to a rooftop, where he started pickin' off that Pack like they were candy. I hurried down stairs. I started to hide behind doorways and corners, silently picking off anyone stupid enough to try and take out Esten." Here he flexed his metal arm, staring at it and all the blood on it. He brought it back down and continued with the story. "Esten finally got injured by a rival sniper, so I picked him up and retreated to the closet, giving that secretary some random story about Esten being a patient. One Batarian found us and nearly radioed in the Pack before I got him, and that was the Batarian you found on the ground at my feet. Then you guys arrived, and that's it. Any questions?"

"Just one, what's with the arm, haven't seen a weapon like that before," Raven said glancing at the odd gleam of metal on Basara's arm. Hell he had witnessed and killed with countless implements and powers but he had never seen the arm before and dammit if he wasn't curious.

"Yes, it looks like a technological wonder. Even if it's just a bit of information on it I would love to hear it." Sal said staring at Basaras arm. "If only I could take it apart and see how it works." She said to her self.

Basara laughed. It was a harsh, bitter sound. "A technological wonder? I doubt it. Maybe to you, but punishments like this are common in the Terminus Systems. I'm the only one who had it on his arm, however. I've seen them place it on a man's skull. They grab a hunk of metal. Strong, yet light. Then, the slavers... nail the forearm piece into the bone to secure it and weld the rest to the skin and muscles. You feel every second of it. It feels like it's a part of you." Here he pointed to the claws on the finger tips and the serrated spikes that continued up the forearm. "The slaver who owned me was smart enough to put me in the gladiator arena. I fought and killed until I won, then at the ceremony, killed the damn Batarian responsible for my slavery, stole a ship, and forced another slaver at gunpoint to land us on Illium. Anyways, for technology, there isn't much on this thing, save for this one part right here." Right where the metal met skin, there was a faintly glowing disc of light. It would be impossible to see unless you were looking for it. "On contact, this baby harmonizes with the enemy's armor, sending an electric pulse at the exact opposite frequency of his armor- and completely short-circuit his shields. It can't rend armor that well, but it's incredible useful at close quarters."

Crap, write this one off to bad GMing, but for my defence, I offer that I forgot to write more down because this whole mission has been, by definition, done with no preperation. Hence why the quality and speed of this one is bad.

Blue Suns hired secretively, you weren't on the mission with Esten. Esten went with two others from the company to guard a truck. Truck was brought down, Esten was the sole survivor of the crash, hence the wounds. Blood Pack was the one that attacked, and Aegis managed to bring their cargo through to the rendevous. Then revealed they were working for Blue Suns. This all happened last night as well.

Now, during the night, the base that Apex Company, that is you, were using was attacked. It was a complete surprise, and the whole company was obliterated. Only you and Esten made it out alive.

From there, you got to the hotel, and Esten suggested calling in an extraction via Aegis. Verahl responded, and hence our arrival.

Sorry for not clarfying the details prior, but it was our whole last mission, and I forgot to summarize it for you so you could have responded with the proper knowledge.

When Basara mentioned that he was an ex-slave forced to serve under the foot of a Batarian, he quickly glanced away. He hide his reaction the best he could, but he could feel the sting of old memories flooding back to him of the days when he was amongst them. He was young and stupid, but he knew of several of the punishments done to humans who disobeyed.

"Right, well, make them feel at home, because when we get back to the base, they're your new co-workers. Right now, I'm going to see if Saint is awake, and try and get him to be at the headquarters when we arrive."

He got up quickly, and moved to the cabin, trying not to make eye contact with Basara.

Lux shifted his weight slightly, and turned back to Basara.

"You could probably tear a bunch of new holes in someone with something like that, reminds me of Tuchanka," he said, almost remanicing, as he looked off into the distance as if recalling a past event. "Those were some great times."

"You see what you made him do. Now Lux is going to be in dreamland until we get back and about as useful as a lead weight tided to my ass. Anyway welcome to Aegis, where we fly by the seat of our pants."

"Better than complaining there's nothing to do." Sal said to Raven "And more often than not land on it too." She said playing off Raves comment

"We do seem to have the habbit of landing on our asses, don't we?" Moloa chimed in. "Always winds up being sore the morning after as well."

Raven suppressed a laugh at Sal's comment, "At least you don't land on Lux, it's like landing on a pile of rocks. We also have a phd in Murphy's Law."

The flight back was filled with laughs for most of the company. It was good for all of them to cut back and relax for even just a short while. Verahl sat in the cockpit though for the remainder, feeling his conscience start to bite back at him, while he tried to convince Saint to show up. Esten sat quietly in the back corner of the transport, and remained silent for the flight.

When they finally landed back at their headquarters, Zar came out to greet them.

"Great to see you all back. Please excuse my appearance, me and Dray have been... er... Reorganizing your office Verahl. Dray's still a bit upset as well, hardly spoke, well, by his standards, the whole time we were cleaning. Oh, and Saint is currently sitting in the waiting area."

She smiled at the new employees of the company and returned to Verahl's office. The company entered into the lobby, and glanced over into the waiting area. Kneeling on the floor, with his head currently on the table, was a red haired man wearing a white and green jacket, snorting red sand off of the table. Verahl coughed loudly, and the man brought his head off the table.

"'bout bloody time!" Saint yelled, his nose currently powdered with the crimson dust that chained him. "Now which one of you is the one that got hurt? Is it the Krogan? I hate working on Krogans, you have too many damn layers of fucking skin!"
