Yeah, I should be posting more but I'm still quite busy. I forgot that I have to do a Science Fair thing with a partner tomorrow and an English Essay this weekend as well, on top of my Law one. Not to mention a fair is in town and it's always fun to go to that.
And Ninja, sorry, but it's hard to write in a spot for your bit when I have to worry about having something for everyone else to do. I have an idea for what we can do though, that we'll try next week.
The hour passed, and the company found themselves sitting in the cargo bay of the Gauntlet with their packs beside them. Most had very few items. Aside from a few things of personal value, their packs were empty. The rest of the cargo bay was filled with weapons, mechs, and anything they could take from storage. The only part that wasn't covered with boxes or containers, was by the edge of the bench, far from where the company sat. There lay two long back bags, both lightly strapped down to ensure they wouldn't fall over.
Verahl still hadn't divulged the location they were headed too. No one wanted to bother him right now. None wanted to be at risk of being targeted.
Verahl got up and went to the small bathroom near the cockpit. When he came back out, his armor was off, and he was now wearing a rather nice, traditional Batarian suit. In his hand he held a dress, which he handed to Moloa.
"You change into this after I'm done."
He moved to the centre of the bay, and looked at the company.
"Alright, here's the plan. We're going to be going somewhere completely unexpected for the next while. We're going to be heading to Sakrohm. It's an apartment building near the top of Omega. That means we're going to have a few of Omega's weathier residents living around us for the next month. We're going to stay as far from their view as possible, but if anyone asks, here's the story. I'm a wealthy Batarian who makes his money by a smuggling operation. Moloa is my wife, Sal one of my pilots, Dray my assistant, and Lux as my head of security. The rest of you are bodyguard that have been hired to protect me during my stay. Don't identify the company you work for as us. In fact, none of you talk to anyone else. We're going to be arriving in a few minutes. I'm going to have to sign a few papers with the landlord, while the rest of you start to unpack part of the contents of the ship. Nothing out of the ordinary, only take things that have been hidden or tucked into boxes. Anything important that we can't bring up now, we'll do tonight."
He paused, giving himself a moment to catch his breath.
"Now, we're lieing low for the next while. We'll be leaving the place as little as possible. Also, keep it nice and tidy, and absolutely no fire arm discharges. I don't want their security breathing down our necks either. We'll be there in the next... Six minutes. Moloa get changed, and the rest of you hold tight."
Verahl sat back down. He was concentrating his anger into the job. He was cutting himself off emotionally. Now was not the time to grieve. He adjusted his collar slightly, before reviewing the plan over for the dozenth time in his head.
Sal listened to the others, it was good to see them cope with Mayli betrayal and Zars death. But she wasen't, She felt responsible for the whole thing. If this is how Dray feels, he is far stronger the we give him credit for. She thought stareing into the wall. her hands folded in front of her, her leg moving up and down.
Raven shook his head seeing how badly hurt Sal was at what had happened the previous day. Placing a hand on her shoulder he spoke, "Sal listen to me. What happened was not your fault. Someone was eventually going to figure out what she was doing and confront her. You could not have forseen how she was going to react.
Taking a deep breath he continued, "If you continue to dwell on it, it will destroy you. Believe me I know how bad it is to lose someone and blame yourself. It hurts a lot but you have people here who care about your well being and need you to be strong."
The transport came to a soft landing after a few more minutes of waiting, and the doors to the cargo bay opened. The tip of Omega was far different from the lower end. Here a large open area dominated. In the centre of it, far above the other surrounding buildings, stood Omega's most exclusive club, Afterlife. Verahl did not let the company stop and take in the sights, instead ordering the company to look like they were protecting him. They followed his lead, and entered one of the smallest buildings.
Once inside, it was revealed to be a rather nice lobby. A desk stood in the centre of the room, where a pair of Asaris sat. A few Salarians in uniforms stood off to the sides, idely chatting away. Before the Asaris could even greet them however, a Volus burst out from one of the back rooms.
"Pleasure to meet you, you must be Janax." he said with an air of pretensiousness and false happiness surrounding him, quickly making his way to Verahl.
"Yes, I am. I believe all that is left is to sign the contract."
"Yes, yes, right this way if you please, it shall only take a minute." Suddenly his voice changed to one of ferocity and control. He turned to the Salarians and started to bark orders. "Don't just stand there! Help them unpack their ship!"
The Salarians jumped to attention, and pushed trollies towards the exit and to the ship. Moloa followed them out, to instruct what they should unload. Lux followed Verahl to the Volus's office, and the two returned mearly minutes later. Verahl had a small grin on his face, and looked at the company.
"Well, appears our Volus landlord is used to people like myself wanting to keep their merchandise close. Unload as much from the ship as you can to the room. After that, the Salarians will take it to a nearby lot of theirs to be safely stowed. Now, help unload it, while me and Lux go examine the room."
Verahl and Lux strolled toward a nearby elevator, and waited for the doors to open. Before long they had entered and gone, while the rest of the company went back to the transport to help move its cargo.

Will probably post again later tonight with a map of the room complete. Until I have that bit sorted however, we'll hold off on entering it. I will hurry though and make it one of my priorities.
I can't guarentee how frequently posting will now occur. My computer seems to have died on me yet again. I'm again restricted to my iPod by the looks of it.
The elevator came to a stop on the top floor. The doors slowly slid open, and revealed the room to Verahl and Lux. Directly in front of the area, lay a large Asari carpet, with a closet in the wall nearby to hold jackets and shoes. In front of them lay a large sitting area, built into the floor. It dipped a few feet down, and the couches that lined the edges of it came level with the floor of the rest of the room. In the centre of it, a large fireplace stood, bathing the sitting area in warmth and soft light. Across from it stood a well furnished kitched, with many appliances Dray would be happy to now have. In the centre of it, a long counter stood with stools on the opposite side, allowing room to cook and eat. To their sides, stood the doors to the side bedrooms. Verahl had specifically asked that extra beds be brought up for his 'bodyguards' to rest in. At the far end of the room was the masterbedroom. Finally, lieing on the sides of the masterbedroom, were the games room and television room. The games room had a few nice tables set up for different activities. A pool table stood in the centre, and a table for Skyllian Poker in the corner. The other room was a room for television, that Verahl decided would be converted to the temporary armoury.
What was great about the penthouse though, was not its size and interior however, but the view it provided. Almost every inch of every exterior wall was replaced with a window. From them, the surrounding area of Omega could be viewed with ease. It reminded Verahl of Illium. However, he feared that these windows would serve more as a liability to them. He walked over to a computer imbedded in the wall close to the elevator, and scrolled over the options it provided him. He passed by climate and lighting before reaching the options for the windows. He selected it, and set it for the curtains to be drawn. Simultaneously, shades descended from the top of the windows, and slowly creeped towards the floor.
Verahl turned to Lux as the two acknoweledged their satisfaction with their temporary home. They went to the televsion room, and started to drag out the chairs that were their into the main room of the penthouse to make room for their inventory. They moved the first two out before the elevator doors opened again, and the rest of the company stepped out.
Sal looked around the room. She was still amazed at how other species could be so spacious. This was meant to be for only a few people. This space could provide for several Quarian families. She thought looking around as she headed to the bedroom. She set her small amount of belongings on one of the beds and began exploring. After finding the armory and game room she found the bar. At least until Mayli pays. She thought grabbing and drink.
Raven glanced around their temporary digs happy that they were able to get something good despite the bad that had plagued them. Depositing his weapons in the armory and his belongings on his bed, he lit a cigarette before ambling over to the bar. Breathing in the sweet smoke, he poured himself a glass of whiskey.
