Mass Effect RP: The Aegis Protection Firm

[The Zango]

As he ran with Verhal into the lobby, pistol drawn he thought he was ready for anything, he thought that whatever was behind that door he could handle. He was wrong as he turned the corner and saw Zar's body laying on the floor still and motionless.
He was gripped by a cold icy rage that he hadn't felt for a long, long time. He didnt even look at the other company members, he ran as fast as he could out of the lobby and into his barrack where he grabbed his sniper rifle and began sprinting with dogged determination towards the roof.
'She is going to pay' he screamed in his mind as he took each step two at a time, he was going to get up there in time and put a bullet in Mayli, he wouldnt let anything stop him.

Raven flew through the front door into the alleys of Omega catching a glimpse of Mayli's retreating back. Calling up his biotics, he used Charge to narrow the gap between them, seeking only to make her suffer for what she had done. As they came around the corner, she threw and incinerate at him forcing him to slow his pursuit and dive behind cover. When he resurfaced, Mayli was long gone. Sorrow consumed him as he made the terrible trip back to headquarters, head down and mind blank.

[The Zango]

Once Ocara had burst through the door on the roof he turned on the FLIR function in his eye, he could see Raven falling behind. Mayli was getting away! He knew he couldn't get a shot without somehow firing through several builidings.

He slumped against the wall, he had failed. Mayli would get away with Zars murder and he couldnt do anything. He sat with his head in his hands and listened to the sounds of Omega.

You mind if i join the chase aswell, like along rooftops? I didnt write that bit yet because i thought it may be a little much. Edit: Ok i closed that paragraph without any chasing

Yeah, hold off on posting stuff that goes this far please. She's long gone. That whole scream bit in the middle of the fire fight was her shooting Zar while the Mechs were the distraction. She's gone by now. Don't worry though, things aren't over with her yet.

I'll continue this later though, but I just got back home, and I'm about to sit back down for supper.

Lux walked outside, into the streets. He walked around the building, and looked into the parking lots outside. Sure enough, Zar's car wasn't there anymore. He opened his comm to Raven and Ocara.

"She took Zar's car. She's probably ditched it halfway across Omega by now. Ver says to get back here."

His voice held none of his normal pride and ruthlessness. It had been replaced with one that just sounded tired. He couldn't muster himself to feel anything at Zar's death, other then emptiness.

As he walked back into the lobby, only a few remained. It took several attempts for Dray to come back to reality and understand what was being told to him, but he soon got sent down to storage to retrieve a body bag for Zar. Verahl now had to arrange a proper funeral for her and Xandus now. When Dray returned, he simply handed the bag to Esten, and walked away. Esten rolled her into the bag and zipped it up. With the help of Basara, they carried her down to the utility floor, to place beside Xandus. Now all that remained was a large red smear on the floor, with a few bits of torn and shreaded fur on its surface.

Raven collapsed into one of the battle scared chairs, completely empty of emotions and trying to make sense of what had happened. In the last week, two of his teammates had been killed and one had betrayed them. Things were shaping up to be worse and the sword of damocles still hung over their heads. Raven grabbed a bottle of whiskey, taking a pull, and placed his head in his hands.

Sal slumped into a chair, her head in her hands as her gun dropped to the floor. You Bosh'tet, how could you do this, this is your fault Sal'rena. You threatened her, you caused her to panic, you caused her to run, and you caused her to shoot Zar. She thought feeling disgusted how how she could let this happen.

Raven saw Sal tearing herself up over what happened to Zar and despite everything that had happened he felt the need to comfort her. Sighing to himself, he grabbed a cup before sitting next to her. "Drink this kid, it'll help calm you down," he said pouring her some whiskey before leaning back. "Don't blame yourself Sal. This was going to happen sooner or later when one of us found out about what Mayli was doing. Zar was caught in the crossfire but not because of what you did. We will find her and when we do, she will welcome death as a sweet release."

Sal looked at the whiskey. "AS much as I wish I could, I can't. Dextro-protein DNA and all. It would kill me." She said setting the drink down.

 

[Chicago Ted]

Without saying a word, Lux passed took the drink from the table as he walked by. He quickly shot it back. He set the glass down on a nearby table and kept on walking.

"Humans call that a drink?..." He wondered aloud.

 

[The Zango]

This paragraph may seem abit un-characteristic for Ocara but its part of his back story that he hates betrayal, but just tell me if any of you are unhappy with this.

Ocara walked slowly down the stairs into the common room with the others. Once inside he walked to an empty seat and sat silently fuming.

If there was one thing that he could not stand it was betrayal and he would make sure that when they caught Mayli, he would savor the sight of one of his blades sinking into her skin. He would want this kill to be close and for his face to be the last she ever saw as it all faded to nothingness.

He sat for awhile pondering these dark thoughts, betrayal really brought these feelings forth from him.

"Boss" said Ocara his voice full of an un-characteristic icy nature, he knew this request would almost certainly prove fruitless but he wanted to put his 'intrest' out there.

"Permission to track down Mayli boss, you wont need to assign anyone else to this. I know some people and i'm sure they could give me info on her whereabouts" as he spoke he took out one of his knives and as he looked at its razor sharp edge he knew this would be what he would kill Mayli with. He slipped the blade into a spare sheath on his ankle and awaited Verhal's reply.

Raven leaned back, taking another pull of whiskey before glancing at Ocara, determination set firmly in his eyes. "Not before me kid, I'm going to make sure she suffers for what she did to Zar."

 

[Chicago Ted]

Verahl looked at the two of them and shook his head.

"We don't have the time... Pack your things. All of you." his eyes floated across the room, briefly glancing into each of the company members. "One hour then we go. Get your personal effects packed quickly. Then help load what we can take from storage."

Verahl got up and headed back to his office. Lux grunted and Esten sighed, and the two walked down to the storage floor to sort through what weapons they'd be taking with them. Moloa got up and went to pack a few things from her room.

Sal quickly went to her room and began packing her things. She sighed again as she put her supply of anti-biotics. Again because of my mistake, the whole company is affected, Zars dead, and now we have to relocate. I won't be surprised if Ver fires my after this.

Raven glanced at Ver before walking slowly to his room. I wondered when this would happen but at least he is on top of it. Grabbing his clothes and the few possessions he had with him, he looked around his room one last time before walking to the armory to get his gear.

 

[The Zango]

Ocara moved swiftly to his barrack, packed what little he had into a bag and ran down to the storage room grabbing his sniper rifle from its place leaning against one of the common room chairs.
