A while back, I played Indigo Prophecy (or Fahrenheit), because so many reviews claimed that it was gripping and innovative, and had an amazing storyline. What I ended up playing was a series of paint-by-numbers adventure game puzzles and Quick Time Events, with no particular depth or fun to them, and a story that for the first half was a big bowl of cliche, followed by a second half that was a big bowl of cliche with extra stupid poured onto it (Edited to remove spoilers, but trust me, if you haven't played it, it's pretty stupid.). Most people seem to have, rightfully, forgotten about it, but the developers who made it are now putting out Heavy Rain, and already, it looks like it's going to be exactly the same sort of thing, but all the critics are lining up to drool all over it.
