World of Warcraft. It's incredibly boring and could probably be replaced more effectively with a chat room.
Manhunt 2 and Mass Effect. It didn't kill anyone. Just because a game is violent doesn't meen the game is responsible for deaths. Just because character development leads two characters to have sex doesn't meen it's a way to sell porn to kids. Just because parents didnt teach their kid @#$% about life doesn't mean a game is to blame when little Billy rapes a year old and dis-embowels her with a screwdriver. I think Mass Effect was just OK and Manhunt 2 was mediocer at best but because of the controversy their either considered the epitomy of godlyness in the gaming comunity and the hellish spawn of satan by everyone else.

The only reason halo was popular (IMO) at all, is because it was the only decent game on the xbox....

any of the Halo games, get rid of the multiplayer and it's not that good

Hmm, I almost want to say Portal... For the simple fact that after it came out, I couldn't seem to go 2 days without seeing/hearing someone saying "The cake is a lie" or singing "Still Alive" thinking they're being all cute and everything. I mean, there was even graffiti in one of the bathroom stalls in our school that said "the cake is a lie, the cube is forever." Bathroom stalls are supposed to be for bomb threats and drawings of penises, NOT Portal memes.
So before you flame me, I'm not blaming this on Portal. That was a great game in my opinion. I'm just pointing out that people really overhyped it. [/rant]

If your playing it on the console release then yeah, welcome to the party your three years late. Compared to stuff that came out that year, then yeah HL-2 isn't graphically impressive, but in 2003 it was bloody brilliant...and then FEAR came out.VitalSigns said:

The Force Unleashed, yeah great physics, yeah 14 worlds (four of them were the bloody same places you had been to already, and the Imperial ship, factory, and death star technically count as the same level because they were all the same layout...then there was the bugs and glitches that the patch didn't fix, and don't forget the extra levels and multi-player that were ripped from the Console versions, grossly over hyped game for what it was.
