I'm going with Halo 3 on this one, before people accuse me of trolling etc I played the game and it bored me to death :( I only finished it in order to get "closure" but the damn game provided little that made sense to me >.>
closure? that was obtained in Halo 1, after which Halo 2 rips open the stiches and burned the wound so that it could not be fixed, Halo 3 sucks, but the most over-rated game ever is CoD4

Ok
to all the "YEAH IT HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE" people. I'm Sorry. I'm relatively new and still trying to explore this site. This post is mostly an experiment anyway.
Can you forgive me? I know how hard it must be on you. Not at all. I'm not forcing anyone to do anything, so if you have a problem JUST DON'T ENTER THE THREAD.

Thanks to everyone who wasn't trying to put me down and just rolling with it :D

I'll remember for next time to search harder, sorry.
Don't take it seriously in any way, everything has been done before on this site and alot of escapists wait for a month to pass before reviving or creating a thread thats been done to death. The search button is a pain to use so I usually try to start a thread on current events.

Hope you enjoy your stay. :)

Twilight Princess (Zelda). It was a good game and all but that bit where you escort a wagon across the fields was cheap and almost ruined the game for me.
I found that to be a pain as well and that was one of the parts I was looking forward to in Twilight Princess, also the sailing in Wind Waker gave me the shits as well and because of these small things that is why I prefer the earlier Zelda games.

Ok My Hands are up.
Yes, I did think Halo was Overrated, and it was in mind creating this thread, but so were a million other dissapointing games. Really, if people enjoy Halo, let them, it doesn't affect me. Halo can't be terrible considering the amount of people who like it. It's a matter of taste.

And I most definately DON'T Hate Halo, it has been a good thing for gamers to rant about :D

Again, thanks to people reassuring me, I did intend the angry comment as a joke because I didn't really care about those guys. Was just saying so people don't keep doing it.
:D

Halo

Definitly Halo.

Not trying to hate on halo just to hate but really it got like crazy ratings all over the net and in all the magazines and everyone that played it at the time like hailed it as the 2nd coming of christ and it would change my views of pc gaming being better... so I played it. And I was like ummmm.. its an FPS? Its just an FPS.. there was nothing.. I repeat.. nothing special about it. And I still would rather play Unreal Tournament.

Spore's actual gameplay is crap, but you can just remedy that by writing it off as what it is atm which is a glorified 3d designing program

Generally agreed. Save the sailing I thought Wind Waker was pretty good. It get's bashed to much for being toony.

Halo. Decent shooter, but nothing I haven't seen done better elsewhere.

FEAR. I wanted to like it, but it felt so much like the company was making a FPS where you fight an army of physic clone supersoldiers and a survival horror where a creepy little girl messes with your head every so often. But apparently they couldn't afford to keep making both and decided to merge the two games.

That's my theory, because it just seems that the two concepts don't really fit together, despite the attempts to tie the two together. That and I very rarely found it scary or even creepy.

FFVII was, in fact, the greatest game ever made. :p

actually, it was an extremely great game by any objective standard. some of the best graphics of the time. one of the most interesting and most innovative stories of the time. one of the first, and only, times that the story got you so attached to a protagonist and then killed her off in such a dramatic way. some of the best music composing of any game of the time.

some people should just stay away from JRPGs instead of trying to make it out like they suck in general. you have your preferences, stick to objective classifications.

the Halo series, however, is a perfect example of a game that is not nearly as good as it is made out to be. they are great games, it's true. but they are far from being the masterpieces they are made out to be.

also World of Warcraft. as it turns out, ten million people can indeed be dead wrong.

GTA, Halo and Half-Life. I still don't get why people love them so much, they're pretty standard FPS (edit: meant to say "shooter") games.
