Porn could easily give a young man a completely false idea at what sex is and whatnot. Could also lead to them thinking women are just sex toys, but that seems very unlikely.
It seems to me, you'd only think that, if you were taught to believe you had dominium over women. That's something I have seen.

I did consider for people to think like that, there has to be some other factor. Mental problems, environment, etc. Probably should of put it. Me and several of my friends can easily say porn has not led us to use women... except maybe one.

If society was more open to educating young people about sexuality, then you'd find things would be less controversial. It isn't a porn issue, it's a societal one.
well thats the thing....I'm sure some people who only have porn get the wrong Idea...

But this page is completely blowing it out of proportion.
that and desensitisation...like the constant stimulation (more tabs!) and then not being able to perform IRL...there was an interesting video on it but I don't know where I saw it and I'm not saying its one way or the other...I don't know as my experience with porn (the kind in this sort of discussion) is limited at best

and yeah if there is an argument to be made about these things that line of thinking is not representative of it

This looks and feels about as real as the Landover Baptists. They even have the same kind of arguing style to them.

It's a joke, dude. You have over 10,000 posts on here, how come you have not yet adapted to the internet? There are incredibly stupid people in the world, many religious, but would anyone who is a religious fanatic put emphasis on the idea that it's wrong to masturbate to someone because they may have "grown ugly"?

It's a ruse. Just like half the people saying racist shit on YouTube aren't actually racists themselves. Most of it is shit talking, trolling and mockery.

I really don't think so, people can be that ignorant.
First the (possibly) non-joking use of the word "dinguses," and now that pic of Buster Baxter. This thread just made my night. :-D

But yeah, this is either hilariously ignorant people being hilariously ignorant, or Jim Sterling has another online persona just so he can giggle maniacally.

I wish I remember the name of the comedian who said it so I could properly attribute, but the quote went something like:

"We live in a society that considers masturbation 'self-abuse' and boxing a 'sport'."

The group has a whiff of troll about it but I have heard crazier beliefs from ultra-religious types about the supposed dangers of masturbation: namely that it'll cause you to go blind, or grow hair on your palms. Not sure about the style or the repeated accusations of 'rape' though, that seems more radical tumblr feminist style than fundamentalist. What is it with people using rape to describe any type of sexual activity they don't like, I swear this kind of bullshit is diminishes actual rape, i.e. a person forcing themselves on another unconsenting person.

That's some quality trollin right there...or as Jim say's, there's something between being serious and trolling, and it's called a joke. It's just quite funny to then troll the people that don't get it...unless this is some sort of joke within a joke, like you're pretending to take it seriously so we're all like "lol, check that guy out" and you're all "hurr, hurr, how could they think anyone is that dumb..."

I've just noticed something about his name, "Nikita Shavalin". He's Russian. So that likely means that he's not trolling, but telling the truth. I don't know how much you people know about Russia. But Russians tend to hate: people of color, people of different sexual orientations and people from different nationalities.

I kid you not, yesterday and a few days ago I saw something rather shocking on the television. First one was an intellectual political debate regarding the situation in Crimea. And there was this person saying, that "Westerners are trying to undermine Russian values because they are buttfucking heathens(the crowd reacted with a round of applause, mind you), and they want Russia to sink on that level". The other one was on a documentary, about a Russian Muslim who actively sought out LGBT activists and ridiculed them over the internet, sometimes even calling their workplace so they would get fired for their views. One of his victims was a school teacher who lost her job, and is now constantly ridiculed. And mind you, the documentary portrayed that guy as a hero.

So you shouldn't really be surprised about people acting up like that.

is this real life?

so uh what if a female masturbates? is that ok or will she get pregnant/herpes/become a whore?
She'll become a lesbian, kill all men and turn into a witch.
I can attest to that.

Well, I'm still working on the whole 'kill all men' thing. Turns out I'm really bad at serial killing.

Ugh.

If that is a Russian...yeah, that would explain a bit. The Russian Orthodox Church in some respects makes the Westboro Baptist Church seem reasonable. And it is far more powerful and influential.

The phrasing being suspect could be a symptom of English as a second language rather than trolling.

I'm not even sure where that second myth even comes from.

If anything, it would rub any hair OFF your palms, wouldn't it? (Maybe I'm overthinking this)
Yeah, the way I always heard that myth was that being lazy is what causes hair to grow on your palms, which makes certain sense, the idea being that if you don't do anything with your hands hair starts to grow there.

"Dinguses"?

What the flaming hell is a "dingus"? The offspring of a dingo and a cross-town bus?

Obviously a joke. Frankly, I think it is a good one, reading about all those people confessing they´ve been injecting Ellisdee and eating Marijuana leaves and claiming they are self-rape-free for almost 22 minutes now was quite funny :) Guess the joke was on you, OP.

OP, it looks like you got trolled hard.

Unfortunately with the internet today trolls have a bad time of it, mainly because there are people who believe and espouse this bullshit.

I know, because I have met some of them in real life.

I just can't take that seriously.
I mean almost every line is like some troll trying to parody anti-masturbation people in an over the top way.

The person may even be married now or grown ugly.

you might as well be Ted Bundy

The internets. The internets are full of filth. Computers should be for taxes, online bible studies, and maybe checking the occasional email. Not for rape!

Past Experiences. Sure that "three way" you had with the cheerleader and her sorority sister in college might have been a "good time".

Some females and gay males use foreign objects and dinguses when masturbating. In doing so you are raping the raw materials of this world.
Look at it! It just... I can't not see it as that.

The wording of that whole post just oozes of someone trying to be funny. If it was just the "cause cancer" or even the "turn you gay" arguments I might have thought he was serious but the way it's written...

So yeah I think it's a troll. I just can't picture a person writing something like that with a straight face.

Some of the most hilarious shit I've seen today. Especially their little colloquialisms - self-rape, like you don't give yourself consent implicitly by doing it in the first place. From the looks of it though, it could be very organised sarcasm.

On one hand it seems like obvious trolling. But on the other hand this is the internet where the line between obvious trolling and actual serious opinions gets very blurry at times.

I guess that if it's trolling i'm going say: nicely done
If it's supposed to be serious: oh dear God...
