I just want to know what the fuck she looks like. That was the whole reason I romanced her in 2 then it was like "lol sorry we're not showing you". I was really pissed off.

I'm still hoping she ends up looking like a cross between a xenomorph and a house fly.

If the character is as good as people claim, then it shouldn't matter.
Well, seeing as (my) Shepard made out with her, I reckon she wouldn't look that bad.

... Unless he's into that sorta thing.

I always figured she looked kinda aquatic, but maybe that's just because of her voice. Also, the fact that her eyes glow make me think of a deep sea creature. [sub]Ah Christ, now I'm doing it, too![/sub]

Personally, I think they should keep up the not-showing-the-face thing, just give a peek of a part; i.e. Tali's visor gets smashed up so you can see her skin and one of her eyes or something.

I think they should do whatever makes the Talimancers the most unhappy.
roughly this, plus you can't tell me in a universe like ME that there isn't a picture SOMEWHERE of a quarian face...

i just want a quarian face so i can photobomb it on to every single quarian i see in the game.

they don't even need to show tali's, i'll take any quarian face.

God-dam this thread is having me in stiches. I just want them to show it and have it look like Ugly Shepard, just to mess with Talimancers.

That'd be cool. But you would have to see no other quarians in the game - otherwise, the point would be effectivly ruined.

Meh.

I don't really care for her face to be honest. If Bioware decides to show it, sure, one less mystery in the universe. If they don't, okay, cool, preserve the mystery, let us use our imagination.

I mean, mask or no mask, she's still just Tali to me, in the same way that it doens't matter whether Shepard wears a helmet or not; s/he is still a BAMF.

I hope they show her face, and that shes so jaw dropping gorgeous that all the reapers shed a single tear and leave the galaxy forever. Because destroying a galaxy with such a beautiful individual is a crime even they won't commit.

Just to fuck with everyone that wants her to be ugly. (because they themselves want to fuck with everyone that likes a character they don't like.)
What gave you the Impression that people don't like Tali ? They just dont like Talimancers. They cause scale-itch in the population.

Honestly, I don't understand why Talimancer-haters why Tali to be ugly?
If you don't like the character, then why do you give a shit? If some people liked a character that much, why ruin it for them?

I keep thinking that Quarians don't have hair. I know Tali's hood in the second game is supposed to resemble hair, but still. I can't shake the feeling.

Funny. Because thats the only plausable scenario. /sarcasm
But seriously after reading your explanation the idea has some merits but isn't necessarily the best one especially as showing her face at all would be insta-kill via any 'mystique' it has. Personally, I'm mildly curious as to what her face looks like but really am more interested in her character.

Now for the scenario!

Imagine it: Pitched battle on the Quarian homeworld against a vicious reaper adversary that is attempting to subvert the geth to its side.
Firstly, aren't the geth on the Quarian homeworld already indoctrinated? They pretty much worship them as machine gods and Legion's lot aren't situated on the planet if I remember correctly. Though it has been mentioned Shep and his Crew will be visiting the Planet but for other reasons.

Health bar goes from 1% to 0 and the post-boss cutscene ensues. Clearly, Shepard and company have prevailed, but what's this? The reaper lives! In a fit of mechanized anguish, it lashes out with its talons, smashing stone and scraping metal as its last bits of fury burn out. Shepard and Legion open fire, silencing the massive creature once and for all. But as the last of the raucous tremors die down, they hear a scream from one of the terminals a floor above. Shepard makes for the ladder and Legion scales the wall directly. When Shepard finally ascends, s/he sees something heartbreaking. Tali is on the floor, pinned beneath the spindly appendage of the reaper.
I love how it sounds like this whole scene isn't optional and how Tali is the only one to receive fatal injuries when the Reaper is in it's death throes. I'm also curious as to why would Tali be separated from the main crew. Unless they were fighting the Reaper in some sort of military instalation I really don't think this situation would be plausable.

As Shepard runs toward her, s/he sees how bad it really is. Legion's tending to her, but the massive spike in her stomach and the blue stains beneath her make it clear she's got minutes at best. With pained gasps, she tells Legion that she was able to beat the reaper; the Geth will not be indoctrinated by the reapers. In mere seconds, Legion declares a unilateral consensus being reached: when the war is concluded, the Geth will send an envoy to the flotilla offering the planet back to the Quarians.
Now this is confusing. How did she beat the Reaper? I thought Shep and Legion were the ones blowing it to kingdom come with their small arms fire a la boss battle in ME2 which now I think about it wouldn't actually be possible against an 'original' Reaper according to the end of ME.
Also, no. Legion is not the head of the Geth forces. He's a representative yes but only of the exiles not the 'heretics' orbiting the planet. Chances of that happening are really low especially if it's just one Quarian taking the fall.

Shepard approaches, kneeling before the dying Quarian. Tali reaches out to Shepard with one hand, her other struggling to break the lock on her faceplate, finally succeeding as she hears the snap of the contacts and the hiss of the suit depressurizing. She grips the mask and tosses it away.
Face is absolutely stunning and the vocal filter is gone. In the throes of death, she says she's glad to have died on her homeworld, but in clear emotional agony says she will miss Shepard. And before she parts, Tali asks Shepard what s/he thinks of her face beneath the mask.

"You're beautiful, Tali."
She smiles, little blood trail comes from the edge of her mouth, Keelah se'lai and she's dead.

To make certain no one can stick around and look at the real time textures, the cutscene advances forward.
Nope, fanfic and would be really Cliched. Also I don't think femShep would be that interested in Tali's face. And the rushing away from the scene would look really bad. Something emotional has meant to have just happened. You don't suddenly change to Shep and Legion walking onto the Normandy.

Though it's a well thought out option, it's not fantastic. Good try man.

Having just finished Mass Effect 2 for the 15th or so time i can say that the Geth on the quarian homworld of Rannoch are the "normal" ones and not the Heretics that Shepard fought in Mass Effect 1. The Heretics were the ones that were exiled/left geth space to go to the Terminus systems so it could be easier to strike against the enemies of their Reaper masters (which is anything that breathes).
Also considering Legions loyalty mission from Mass Effect 2, the scenario envisioned by the OP seems kinda out of place. What would a Reaper be doing over Rannoch in the first place? After ME2 there are only two things possible. There are no heretics as they are long gone or they have joined the real geth as an effect of the virus.
