WHAT THE CRAP! Being a PS3 owner and a fan of the multiplayer, and after trying to being reasonable about this whole situation, now I feel betrayed. They coded this game across all three platforms, but "technical issues" are keeping them from letting PS3 owners from participating? Really? What technical issues? This is crap.

How did Mass effect turn into a game where "The singleplayer is crap but at least we have a mutliplayer."

I mean come on.
Its one of those things I dont want to speculate, the Multiplayer has been the god send of the fucking game, I dont even know how this is supposed to happen.

Ok, seriously? What's your hard-on for being so anti-BioWare? Hell, I'm not BioWare's biggest fan but even you're starting to piss me off. Any mention of BioWare, EA, Mass Effect or Dragon Age and you're on it like a hawk to spout your useless and inane hatred.

You don't like BioWare, we fucking get it.

Anyway, they said they'll "talk" about the ending in the future so... this seems like more of an olive branch than a "PLEASE FORGET OUR ENDING SUCKS" tactic. That is, y'know, if they actually do speak about it.

I enjoy the multiplayer personally, and think this is a great way to present challenges and rewards to those who take part. I'm not going to let 5 mins at the end of single player ruin the other 99.9% of a game I truly adored.

I can say it failed for many other reasons. If the game was the ending in loop for 30 hours I think that might've been an improvement. Atleast then the game is forthright about its utter crap. With me3 its like they polished up shit until it shined.

They ruined everything great about the series.
the morality system
the character interaction
the lore development
the choices.
That's your opinion and your entitled to it. I personally despised the morality system and found to severely hinder the emotional experience of the series. The Character interaction was some of the best in the trilogy. Didn't really care about the Lore, seeing the first two games set down the ground rules for the universe. The choices are as far reaching as they could be. Overall it's I feel that it's a good game.

Onto the subject at hand, wonderful! The Multiplayer is an enjoyable experience for a group of friends in a party. Running around, reviving, screaming when the banshee jumps you, enjoyable.

Pretty much this.

I loved the SP and didn't jump into MP until after my first play through, and am surprised at how much i'm enjoying it. The only thing i'm finding slightly annoying is random lag spikes - the last game I played last night, I was lagging so much I was falling through the floor and ending up outside the map.

I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not, but when I was experiencing lag last night, my brother came in and said he was having the same problem (he's playing on console, i'm on PC).

Can a mod just permaban Zeel now please? I admit it was funny watching him rage at first, but now he's just getting extremely annoying.

OT: I still haven't tried the multiplayer on Mass Effect 3, I've heard it's fun but it never really interested me from the beginning. Honestly, I've barely played any of Mass Effect 3. I originally had the series for Xbox but because I've turned to PC gaming I decided to get the series on PC. I just did a speed run through the first 2 and then started the 3rd. A little after the mission on Palaven's moon I got bored of Male Shepard though, and decided to restart the series again as FemShep, doing a more thorough run-through on both games before restarting the 3rd.

I'll try the multiplayer eventually, but completing the series is more of a priority for me since I don't buy the Mass Effect games for multiplayer.

Let me get this straight. This entire thread is about fanboys gushing about how "AMAZING" and "PERFECT" it is(except the ending) but my ONE comment about how abysmal the game is, sets you off? Yes, that makes you a fanboy. Any normal human being would shrug their shoulders and go about their merry business. if ANY criticism of the game makes you upset. DING DONG! YOU'RE A FANBOY!

It's also not 'useless' or 'inane'. Did it ever occur to you that Mass Effect 3 isn't perfect? That the game is not this golden chariot cascading down a rainbow? Does that idea seem foreign to you? jesus christ. fanboys these days.

I actually haven't attacked Dragon Age. I liked DA:O and DA2.
It would help if you would elaborate on exactly what it is about the mechanics and writing of ME3 that cheeses you off so.

I would suggest wrapping a spoiler in there. I understand that your frustrated with the product but that doesn't mean it should be spoiled for those who wish to enjoy the money they've already spent.

Personally I felt that they did a great job with the multiplayer. It's a different take on hoard mode, though so far it has to be my favorite. I can't help but feel that it's lack in content though, three enemies, only five locations

I know they plan to add more later on, hopefully not for DLC. Put in at least ten different maps, two for each sector. Add a few more mini-objectives, and a few more enemies, and your good. Through I wonder if they'll ever let us play as the bad guys in that. I know it doesn't make sense in the context of the multiplayer. Still I remember playing L4D and playing as the special infected. Just a thought.

I see they are really push the whole Mutliplayer thing. I doubt this will be successfull. The multiplayer is only 'surprisingly fun' because it just barely reached the standards of 'average multiplayer'. Ergo its mediocre but because it doesn't completely suck, people play it.

Now, if Bioware wants to compete in the multiplayer market they are going to get their asses handed to them
Except it's actually a pretty damn good horde mode.
It's mediocre at best.
you know, its o.k to have an opinion without forcing it on other people.

The best thing to do is smile, talk nicely, and nod your head every now and then. It helps keep the forums a bit more mature.

I agree with you that as far as Horde Modes go this had to be one of my favorites. Playing with random people can be come rather lack luster quickly, playing with friends can last for hours.

Seems like a normal PR damage control move. Whether they had planned this before or not, now they're trying to use it and distract fans with "FREE STUFF".

It does seem to the point of the whole affair. Odd though, as it gets people talking about Mass Effect 3. Talking about Mass Effect 3, it leads to talking about the thing this entire event was attempting to avoid. Still if I get free stuff for a game I enjoy, as I watch a company run in circle when it comes to their promotion, won't hear a complaint from me.

Alright. I can be a little more direct about this.

1. The writing itself isn't up to its usual quality.

Thats not to say its completely crap, its just a little gimmicky at times. The constant usage of old me2 jokes. It played like a bunch of fanboys wrote it. can you honestly think of any 'awesome' plot twists? any decisions that griped you like Virime? or scenes that left you in awe like Vigil? The quality wasn't what I'm use to when dealing with a Bioware game.

2. The rpg elements got shanked
lots and lots of auto dialogue. Then little choices in conversations. little squadmate interaction. It felt less RPG-ish than any of the previous games.
You like the word 'fanboy' a lot don't you?

I don't think it means what you think it means.
