Megan Fox to play April O' Neil in M. Bay's Ninja Turtles

I thought it was just confirmed that she'd be in it, not who she was playing.

And, odd that they are working together again.

I'll also add that I don't hate Megan Fox. It seems a lot of the bile against her was because of her fight with Bay et al, in which everyone automatically took their side (that she's a horrible person) rather than the other explanation (she didn't want to be a doormat which annoyed certain of the men).

Given that they are working together, the "she's utterly horrible" thing doesn't seem to hold up.

Also...to get the role in Transformers, she had to wash Michael Bay's car in a bikini while he filmed it. Yeah, he's sorta lost the moral high ground there.

I don't think this movie is deliberately aimed as such. Transformers still tried to get a very different audience from what Bay actually drew in with his explosion porn.

Are we not allowed to have nostalgia any more? I'm just waiting for a Michael Bay interpretation of the Clangers. They're already aliens so that is half of the Bay-ification done. Soup Dragon could be an explosion and the metal chicken thing could be Megan Fox wrapped provocatively in tin foil. $250 million box office easily!

Whilst I still fondly remember watching the cartoon I'm not too heavily invested in the TMNT universe, I rented the 360 game years ago and that is about the only recent interaction I have had with the franchise. So all in all I'm not too shocked that a terrible sounding movie is going to have a terrible actress in it, I wasn't going to watch it anyway. The Clangers film on the other hand...

Kinda reminds me of how I feel about Call of Duty these days. While I do think Blops 2 is a notable improvement over MW2 / Blops 1 / MW3, it's became clear that I'm no longer part of their demographic. I miss CoD4 / W@W and their generally larger maps that didn't cater exclusively to Leeroy Jenkins wannabes who think that Sniper Rifles and LMGs are rushing weapons.

In other words, all of you TMNT fans have my sympathy.
