I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with me... though I was misdiagnosed as having ADHD in middle school simply because I have a lot of energy :p

Obsessive-compulsive disorder. It's genetic: my mom has it too, and we have a lot of the same obsessions despite having been raised quite differently. It's pretty well controlled with medicine though. I don't believe in a "pill for every problem", but when it's caused by a physical problem, a physical solution seems appropriate.

I've also dealt with quite a bit of depression, and occasional bouts of paranoia. I also have some trouble with social situations, though that might not be so much "mental condition" as it is "not being good at social situations."

I'm clean. But that's probably because in Europe it's not the big thing to have a mental condition. Sheesh.

ITT: people self-diagnosing.

OT: I was diagnosed with depression when I was around 10. Don't really know why.

I would have preferred it if the question was whether people had legitimately diagnosed conditions by a mental health professional rather than what people think that they have - self diagnosis off the internet is questionable. I'm sorry, but it is and if people read about a condition (mental or physical) and decide that they must have it then they potentially do a disservice (and mess up numbers) of people who have had a genuine diagnosis.

I have been diagnosed with clinical depression - about 15 years ago. And after every medication and sort of therapy my Docs are starting to think that it might truly be a genetic pre-disposition.

I have panic disorder. This is very uncomfortable indeed and utterly nonsensical to throw a full blown panic attack in Tesco, or in my own bedroom.

I have a personality disorder, exact one I presently don't recall. But memory problems -the part of the mind that builds links between events to form memories does not work properly anymore. My short term memory is very untrustworthy and my long term memory only goes back about 4 years, everything before that is pretty much lost. My current state of sensitivity now is so high that I have begun experiencing occasional hallucinations and have to take anti-psychotics which leave me mostly asleep most of the time.

Honestly, I feel pretty tortured by my state of mind and have no real control over it at the moment.

I don't think I have anything wrong with me.

If I say stuff like depression or insomnia I know its not real and that its just my hormones acting up.

Welp, for the last year I've been seeing a doc for bipolar, anxiety and eating disorders. She send me to get an assessment to be accepted into an inpatient treatment (which was today) and that doctor says I have Borderline Personality Disorder.

Great, so I'm not mentally ill, I'm just an asshole. At least I get to stop taking these goddamn meds. :/

ADD
OCD
Panic Attacks (Haven't had one in over two years)

My childhood was not a pick-nick...

I have a very slight case of autism, and i think thats it
As for physical illness, I have psoriasis of the scalp and nose, restless legs, and possibly osgood-schlatters in my right knee
Honestly, I consider myself lucky in terms of illnesses of any kind, its not all that bad really

I talk to my self. A lot. But I don't think it's anything serious, or even anything to be concerned about. And I am sure as hell not going to self diagnose. We think that that would be bad...

Reading this, I'm pretty sure most of you are self diagnosing.

Which is bad and untrue.

In any case, I have Avoidant Personality Disorder (Defeated, in practice anyway, for the most part). Confirmed by two doctors. Ugh.

Thermostatic Epilepsy (petit mal). I.E. Extremes of temperature or agitation knock me out, but I only get minor shakes.

Not as exciting as it sounds.
