Baldur's Gate 2. Has nobody else posted this yet? I hope I just didn't see the post.

And while it's not technically menu music (I still think it counts), the velvet room track from all the Persona games:

More recently, Fallout: New Vegas. The music in that game was just so many times better than FO3 (the ambient/bgm, not the radio songs).

I ask you, is it possible for a song to get you more pumped to play a JRPG than this? I think not.

By far my favourite menu music, and I don't even own a Halo game!

[sub]That is going to change in a few days, though...[/sub]

Found this recently while reading back through Shamus's blog and veering off into his links.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

Naturally, given my current debilitating addiction to Anamanaguchi, this was the first thing that came to my mind. I knew the soundtrack to that game would be good as soon as I heard they did it, but I was still surprised at just how brilliant and appropriate it was. The best bit is how well it also works as a stand-alone album.

i agree.. when i first played mass effect, i just spent about 10 minutes listening to this music and taking in the feel for the game (which came to me with just the music)

it... puts me into kind of a trance.

as for me, though,
